Set beside the Lake, inspired by Capability Brown's original plan, Kirkharle Courtyard is a unique shopping experience, promising home cooked food, creativity, heritage and culture in the beautiful Northumbrian countryside - only thirty minutes north of Newcastle upon Tyne, Hexham, Morpeth and Alnwick. Within the 18th century courtyard, you'll find work for sale from a variety of nationally-renowned crafts people who sell everything from papier mache artwork to classically inspired sculpture. There's hand-made jewellery and traditionally-constructed bespoke furniture, as well as local crafts, gifts, vintage and antiques. There's also a coffee house which offers some fantastic contemporary cuisine, often using local produce, as well as the traditional cream tea.

Bickleigh Mill offers three floors of retail therapy, plus a delightful Bistro. We are open 7 days a week from 10.00am.

ABOUT US Founders Jon and Chris - both Cafe Managers at the time - were casually discussing their love for Vinyl and Music over an Espresso (or three) when they had a sudden enlightenment - Long Play Cafe was born! After only a couple of months of planning and developing (and quite a few name changes along the way) Long Play Cafe opened its doors for the first time on Saturday 11th October 2015 and the rest, they say, is history!

Bringing you the taste of home baking & reminiscing over days of licking the cake bowl clean, we want to create a haven for those who enjoy good food & drinks.
