About us The Shires is a true 'hidden gem'! We are tucked away in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside just outside of Kirton Lindsey, but easily accessible by road. We have developed a great reputation in recent years for the quality and choice of our food, wide range of ales, lagers and wines, friendly service and an atmosphere that always enhances your experience. We also have one of the best function rooms in Lincolnshire that can cater for 120 people, and that is totally self contained with it's own bar, stage dance floor and toilets. Hercules Revived is a beautiful Country Inn situated in the beautiful village of Sutton Cheney. Late in 2012 a team of heritage people and craftsmen totally reformed the tired 17th Century Inn, creating a wonderfully relaxed bar and simple dining on the ground floor with a large open fire, and a series of elegantly decorated, cosy restaurant rooms on the first floor. The Royal Standard started as a one room public house in the 15th Century and is the oldest building on Ely's Fore Hill. A 'back street pub' hidden away on Silver Street in Ely, once an officers mess, The Prince Albert has always been known for the high standards of its beer and over the last 6 years has earned a great reputation for food. We work to a simple formula - good beer and good food in a friendly, comfortable environment. To keep our real ale customers happy, we have 10 cask ales/ciders on offer, six of which are rotated regularly. We also hold an annual beer festival in the substantial garden with 30+ beers and ciders available.
