Want to write for the Thomson Local blog?

26 February 2018

Are you a writer looking for opportunities to showcase your work?

Well good news. We’re looking for talented writers to contribute original articles to the Thomson Local blog.

Do you need any experience?

No. As long as your content meets our Submission Criteria and Style Guide we will be more than happy to consider it.

What topics can you write about?

Our current blog categories are SEO and Marketing, Consumer Advice and Business Advice. This gives you a great deal of scope to write about almost anything.

Our audience is made up of self-employed individuals, small businesses and the customers that seek their services.

This means that your article could be about how to fix an issue in the home to how to maximise a particular area of a business.

What do you get in return?

A dedicated author page that lists all of your submissions, a biography where you can promote yourself or your company and a much coveted dofollow backlink to an URL of your choice.

This is also a great opportunity for you to get your writing talent noticed and earn a valuable credit from a well-known brand such as Thomson Local. It's also a great way to develop either a B2B or B2C tone of voice.

How do I get started?

Please read our Submissions Criteria and Style Guide. Assuming you are happy to proceed send an email to writeforus@thomsonlocal.com and include the following:

  1. A short pitch that outlines what your article is about
  2. The headline of your article – a draft headline is fine
  3. An estimation of when you could get the completed article to us

We look forward to hearing from you.
