About Craig Shields

After getting upset at Andy Gray for suggesting that a Barcelona team containing Lionel Messi would struggle on a Tuesday night against Stoke, Craig decided to pick up the keyboard – resist the temptation to throw it at the TV – and write his feelings and thoughts on why Mr Gray was wrong. The blog post was horrendously written and flouted all the rules of grammar but it was the starting point for a writing career that has kept him out of trouble and helped to make him a little bit of money on the side.

Outside of the written word, Craig is a keen football coach and is currently slowly working his way through the FA Coaching System, earning the qualifications required to help (in some small way) to improve the standard of football in the UK
