- Moving Home - How to Survive Moving Day
Like with most things, having a good plan is half the battle when moving house. That’s why today we’re sharing some simple tips for preparing for your big move and what to do on the day to make the experience as stress-free as possible.
When it comes to choosing a moving company, the most important thing you should do is check that that the company you’re considering has insurance. Without this, you might end up having to pay for any damage to your stuff or home. It’s also a good idea to shop around and get a few quotes for your move as well as asking around for recommendations.
Before your moving day, take advantage of this opportunity to declutter your belongings. This will make for an easier move and help you get rid of things that no longer spark joy for you. Really assess what you like and need, and donate or sell the rest. Many charities will also pick up your donated goods from you, saving you some valuable time.
