Bom and brought up in York, I grew up in a family where it seemed that if anything was wanted someone picked up the tools and made it, and that attitude rubbed off on me, I have always enjoyed making things. \n\nAt York Art School (now part of York College) I completed the Foundation course and went on to study 3D Design and Craft, choosing to specialise in stained glass design. Following work experience as a student with Harry Harvey FMGP I became his studio assistant for several years before setting up my own studio in 1987. I joined the British Society of Master Glass Painters, was elected an Associate member in 1995 and a Fellow in 2007. \n\nI work independently and have designed and made work for churches, private houses and public buildings, constantly developing and refining my style. I have taught night classes for many years and occasional workshops, as well as giving talks about my work to various groups and organisations. \n\nI moved house in 2002 and converted my garage into a studio where I have produced my largest window to date, 90 sq.ft. for Bunbury church in Cheshire.
