After a previously awful experience with a cowboy firm, we were very nervous to begin another house extension. We were recommended Chirton Builders as theyd been labelled high quality and most importantly trustworthy. This is exactly what we found Phil and the team to be. They built us a 2 story extension and did some knock through works in the rest of the house to open things up a bit. Yes there were some unexpected delays and some stumbling blocks, but the communication was always there from Phil and ultimately as a customer whose home and life savings are in the hands of a stranger - communication and trust is key. I cant fault them there. The standard of the work was very high quality, and there were a few chops, changes and additions that we decided upon last minute which Phil and the team took in their stride and delivered upon. I would recommend this firm to anyone, and we will more than likely instruct them on any future works we do to our home. Thank you Phil and team.

Chirton Building Company has just finished a small extension to Upavon Chapel which is a Grade II Listed Building. The work done is of excellent quality and we are really pleased with the finished results. It was a tricky site due to the proximity of a graveyard at a higher level, but Phil and his team sorted out all the challenges in a professional way. They also showed great care in protecting the chapel itself at all times. Thank you for a good job well done!

Phil Newman and his team are a first rate building outfit with a real specialisation in cellar conversions. They converted an 800 sq foot cellar from a damp space that could not be used for anything other than wine storage to a superb home cinema, gym and utility space incorporating natural light, an innovative removable staircase balustrade, totally waterproof tanking and ventilation to every room. The price was super value for money, Phil's team of Richard, Martin and Simon are A grade craftsmen and always cheerful. Phil is very honest and professional. I am delighted with their work and its added huge value to our house and the way we live in it. I cannot recommend Chirton builders highly enough.

We have had significant work done on our old cottage over many years by Chirton Building Company. From significant structural rebuilding and dampproofing, through new windows and external doors, to new heating system (including underfloor), plumbing, electrics, insulation on solid walls, replacement floor tiling, painting and decorating. Throughout, Chirton Building Co have been excellent. Very good communication at all times, very good and conscientious workmanship, all carried out in sympathy with the building. We would thoroughly recommend without reservation.

After we were let down by two other Builders we found Chirton. Phil was very helpful and Richard and Martin and cleaned up after work everyday.The whole team were professional, respectful and polite. Phil has been helpful and friendly from the outset, responding to my e-mails immediately and arranging and overseeing the work with great care and attention. Our floors have been sanded and finished to an impeccably high standard, we are very pleased with how the job was carried out. Chirton Building Company built us a single storey , 3m extension across the back of our house in 2020. The work included finishing and fitting of a new kitchen and the build of a new rear patio. Overall we were extremely pleased with the standard of work, all delivered professionally in demanding conditions with the restrictions placed by the ongoing COVID crisis. The Chirton team were polite, professional and sympathetic to our needs as we continued to live in the house during what was a significant building project. Particularly commendable was the flexible and co-operative engagement with the Chirton team (primarily Richard and Martin) who were diligent in tidying up and the end of the working day and ensuring we had sufficient utilities to live in the house.All of the contractors employed by Chirton to complete the job were professional, courteous and respectful of our home. We would have no hesitation in recommending this company. Thank you all!

We had a damp and dark cellar with brick steps that were crumbling. Chirton Building Company came in and transformed it into a light, dry amazing room. They made the steps safe and put in spotlights. They arranged a plumber and electrician and made sure I was happy with every aspect. They were considerate of the fact that I had young children in the house and tried not to do noisy jobs when the children were napping. Highly recommended.

Phil stepped in when my initial builder let me down. Him and his team did a great job putting in the footings and drainage for my large bungalow extension. Even finding the existing drainage buried nearly 2 metres down didn't deter them, definitely a can do attitude. Once again thank you.

We were recommended Chirton Building Company and have not been disappointed. We employed them to build an arch linking our kitchen and living room and remove our shower tray and install a bath. We were very impressed with all the workmen, particularly Rich who did great work. Both of the jobs were completed to a high standard, all the rubbish removed and everything was within the budget agreed. Thank you all so much.

We contacted Chirton Building Company to convert an existing basement into a usable space. Firstly, they were punctual and friendly and managed to view the project and provide a quote in a timely fashion. They were extremely friendly and professional when queries were raised. When the project began these traits continued and they went about their work in a cleanly, efficient and professional manner. When any unforeseen issues arose, they were dealt with quickly and excellently The cellar was completed on time and to budget.
