We are a Nottingham based firm of surveyors who specialise in HomeBuyer and Building Surveys. We carry out detailed surveys of houses of all ages and sizes and our experience spans Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, Inter-War, Post-War and even new builds. We are based in Hucknall but happy to survey properties throughout the Midlands. We have a wealth of experience in providing a range of surveys and reports for properties. All of our property surveys are undertaken by one of our chartered surveyors and are in accordance with current surveying practices approved by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). We adopt a personal approach with our clients, happily discussing our survey findings on the phone to provide another level of understanding and reassurance. We can respond quickly to instructions and have the work ethic and flexibility to attend at properties outside normal working hours, including weekends. Furthermore our fees are extremely competitive.

Wayne Norcliffe is 47 years old (as at 2013) and has worked in the construction and property industries since leaving school in 1982. Starting off as an apprentice bricklayer and latterly running his own sub-contracting company employing upwards of ten specialist construction operatives. Wayne returned to study as a mature student, studying a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited degree in Southampton, obtaining a 2i (HON's) degree and finishing 2nd in his year. Wayne obtained his Chartered Status in 2000 and has since been working as a practising Chartered Surveyor for various companies, including Countrywide Surveyors, Tyser Greenwood Surveyors, Wolton Surveyors, JE Shepherd Surveyors, HSBC Bank, Bournemouth Borough Council, Southampton City Council, Poole Borough Council and National Car Parks Limited, along with working directly for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as both an Assessor and Home Inspection Trainer over the years. Wayne decided that working for larger surveying practices was not for him, wanting to focus on client service and ensuring that the client receives the highest levels of service. "We work hard to provide our clients with a personal service, being available to discuss our reports in detail should a client wish to do so" Wayne states. Unlike other companies, who may choose to undertake 3 or more surveys per day, we generally do not and as such believe we are best placed to assist our clients by providing a more personal service than some others.

R G Associates is run by Raymond Glew FRICS, a Chartered Building Surveyor and Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS). Practising since 1972, Ray (only ever called Raymond by his wife and mother and when in trouble) was elected a Professional Associate as they were then called in 1974 and a Fellow in 1986. All Chartered Surveyors have to pass examinations and undergo a period of approved training before being allowed to use the Chartered designation. Ray has spent his entire professional career in private practice and worked for both large and small companies. Recently he spent three years on secondment to a Housing Association client as their main technical support.
