We are a traditional family run company founded in 1997 by the late John “Butch” Nash & as the company name suggests we are located on the isle of Portland, in the beautiful county of Dorset. With over 45 years collective experience in Waste Management & Recycling we can provide our customers an exceptional same day service at the very best prices. The company employs around 45 local professional workers with each one having an important role to play to ensure we provide not only an exceptional service but to give that family feeling to our customers. We are committed to minimizing the waste deposited at landfill sites & have invested in a fully automated picking station which enables us to gain above 90% recycling rates & we also believe that by taking care of our environment and controlling our waste today we are securing a more positive future for generations to come. I recently hired a skip (well, actually two) from you to enable me to clear rubbish from a house in Cerne Abbas, Dorchester and Id just like to say thank you for the professional way the whole operation was dealt with. Organising things from afar is never easy, and I must congratulate you - everything ran smoothly, deadlines were met, and the skips were placed exactly where I required them. me my husband called 4 different skip hire companies for prices on skips, 2 never answered, 1 could not deliver for 3 days and very rude but Portland Stone helped us and two skips arrived in the hour and collected first thing the following day as asked. very happy and would advise anyone needing skips us Portland Skips. mr mrs D Smith Broadmayne
