    • What an awful experience. Smoky, uncomfortable taxis but the worst points were 1. They didn't turn up when booked in advance- we called and they came late but we were then late for our appointment 2. They charged us nearly double the price quoted on the phone and were completely lacking in concern when we dared to argue about the price. Never again - there are many other good taxi companies around the area

    • First time trying to use this company and I won't bother again. I called about 1.5 hours before I needed a pick up from our local station and they asked me to pay in advance which I was happy to do but when we got off the train at our local station the taxi wasn't there. I called and was informed that they had just finished a job but were still 15-20 mins away. The walk home takes about the same time so my husband and i just walked home in the pitch black. Rather infuriatingly, I was told I couldn't have a refund straight away and that I would need to call on the next working day to arrange this. Not happy as I paid in advance in good faith so I feel like I have been ripped off.

    • No cab company is perfect, but they are I suppose better than walking. Especially when its raining. Or snowing. Or in a blizzard. Or something like that. Actually, or even when its too hot. They have air-con in most of their motors. Yeah OK, that ain't much use in a blizzard. But it is when its hot. Like it was a couple of weeks back. All sorts of drivers though. Some are stupid, some are OK. I spose much like any other cab company. But, unlike the previous review, I would use them again, but I wont recommend them to anyone, as if I do, they might get too busy and I might not get a cab myself.

    • Phoned them with two hours notice. Rang them when they were nearly ten minutes late 'Just on the way to you sweetheart' rang after a further 10 minutes and told her this was turning into a joke and she put the phone down on me! Crap service.

    • Absolute disgrace of a cab driver who he tell me is also the manager, left my daughter and boyfriend stranded 3 miles from home after midnight and took her phone because her bank card was refused had he driven the 3 miles I could have paid but I'm now expected to do a 2 hour drive to collect phone and pay bill as they will not bring the phone and my daughter doesn't drive.

    • Absolutely awful! Booked tonight at 10pm for a taxi for 12pm! For a taxi from Maldon to tiptree was told the price of £26 however they Turned up 40 minuites late and told us £40. Absolutely shocking service, taxi driver was unfriendly and rude. DO NOT USE!

    • Terrible!!! Avoid! Was left waiting over 45 minutes in the pouring rain for no taxi to turn up with the office telling me it was coming. It never did. Tried again last night (as my usual taxi company was insanely busy) was told I couldnt pre order a taxi so called back ten minutes later and then ended up waiting outside the station for 20 minutes for no taxi to turn up once again and no one answering the phone. Waste of time. My pregnant self ended up walking back home in the pitch black darkness. Thanks AC Racio Cabs!

    • I am completed to write this review as this is probably 4th time that I have ordered taxi to collect me from the Chalkwell station and taxi driver has just collected anyone who happened to be there before I had a chance to get out from the train and to the taxi rank. I have asked lady operator to please make sure that driver waits for me bearing in mind my previous experience , especially as they hold destination address and my name. Despite this same happened yet again. It is absolutely outrageous that the taxi drivers do not take into consideration safety of he people booking the journey or even bother to take appropriate information from the person getting into their cab as to where they are going, it is immediately obvious that the destination is not the same as the booking if they actually cared at all which they obviously do not. Shameful! I miss uber in my area, polite drivers, clean cars and never felt stranded late at night with them. Local council should take note.
