Very expensive £4.80 for a 2.2 mile trip?

Absolutly smashing! Cheap rates, bang on time. What more can you ask for...been using them regularly for the last few months, they have never let me down! Cheeea to you DERBY CARZ!

After using this service weekly I have finally given up after several bad experiences. I booked the taxi the night before for early travel (usually 6am) to get a 6:30am train. Although I book and pay in advance via the app, get charged and get a booking confirmation the taxi does not arrive at time. Today the taxi did not arrive at all. When I called the call centre team did not care at all. They had no comprehension that certain trips for trains and airports would be time sensitive In short, never use this service for advanced bookings if you need to be somewhere on time. The drivers themselves are nice enough but the company is poorly run and has terrible service. in a competitive business world these things just shouldnt exist and I suspect they wont last as a result

Very poor service. This used to be a good company but no more. Requested a taxi at midday. It didnt arrive. . Rang 20 minutes later to find out where it was, robotic voice said they had not been able to locate a driver. Waited another 20 minutes. Rang again, was put in a queue for 8 minutes then was cut off. Finally rang Albatros and they came straight away. This is the 3rd bad experience with Western. Wont use them again.

The standard of service provided by Western has declined significantly this year.Taxis are frequently late, even if prebooked, and often go to the wrong address. On 13th of September I booked a taxi for an appointment at the Royal Derby for an appointment that I had waited 7 months for to come through.The taxi did not arrive and I phoned Albatross in the end-they arrived in less than 10 minutes.DO NOT USE WESTERN.If I could give them zero stars I would

Needed a taxi from alvaston to a&e at derby Royal as was going to be faster than an ambulance. And the driver was playing heavy mettle loadly in the car wich was bad but we noticed the driver went through 2 red lights. Just because we needed to get a&e as fast as we could o still expect him to follow the laws of the road as he is just a taxi and doesn't have the blue lights.

Cheap ride and on time... I found much ruder taxi drivers with other companies. Still using after 5 years and never had a complain. Just tell them always the right time and they will pop up.

This tw*t of taxi drivers has just tried to rip me off, 5th of April 11:10pm taxi from keldhome drive to westend drive shardlow, climbed into the taxi he imediatly says £10 I know this ride is half of that and told him to put on the meter. Does this firm think I'm stupid and don't know derby. Used to be a fairly good customer of theirs now I will never use these bunch of robbing tossers. I advise anyone not to use them now.

Waited 40 minute in the rain for this terrible rude taxi service

Staying in a hotel in Derby for 2 nights as we were going on a day outing on the train. Booked taxi on the ap and got a message that driver had arrived. No sign of him. Phone call to driver- he was at a location about quarter mile away. Turned up a bit later and got us to the station. On returning late evening, ordered taxi via ap, arrived very quickly. After some time he stopped and asked us where we were going, odd because the display in front of him had name and postcode. Said sorry he had mistakenly taken us to wrong place but wouldnt charge us to go back to the hotel and pressed the meter. However the price continued to clock up adding another 50% to the reading. On arriving at the correct destination, my phone advised me that the full amount had been taken from my credit card! For two drivers to not be able to come to the hotel when it clearly showed on the car display and then charge us for going wrong is not on. Have cancelled my account and deleted the ap from my phone.

Driver blatantly ignored a red traffic light at temporary roadworks and tried to make a car coming through to stop and reverse. Not impressed by the standard of driving, won't be using them any time soon

Terrible service, do not use! The last few times I have used albatross they have just got worse and worse! Driver tried (multiple times) to go the wrong way on well sign-posted roads and would have gone the incorrect way on a dual carriageway if it wasnt for me shouting at him not to turn and go the wrong way up the road! Very worrying that he is driving people around with seemingly no awareness of road signs or frankly common sense! Then I got a taxi to take me to the train station in the early hours, booked it well over 8 hours in advance and it turned up late - meaning I missed my train and had to pay out for a new ticket. When I called to complain they wouldnt do anything about it and went on to argue that I should have requested the taxi to pick me up an hour before my train (even though the car journey from my house to the station takes less than 10 minutes!) absolutely ridiculous when you consider they had many hours notice of my booking and had plenty of time to prepare!

Very pleased with service in Derby. Quick, friendly, prompt and use clean cars. Don't rip you off and keep you informed via text messages. Highly recommended.

Had to book a last minute taxi to Heathrow after a problem with the trains. Im a bit of a nervous traveller, however the driver put me at ease, the car was luxurious & spotlessly clean & onetime. The driver was very professional, courteous and I couldnt have wished for a better journey (at a decent price as well). Would highly recommend & book again.

Our driver arrived early for our airport transfer and was very pleasant, he helped us with our cases and dropped us right at the airport departures. The car was spotless and very comfortable. The online booking system was easy to use and convenient. Would recommend and use again. Thanks John Port Travel

Big Thanks to the team. Forgot my passport when I arrived at Southampton, they instantly despatched another vehicle car from Repton with my passport. Must admit I wasn't sure it would happen in time but it did.

Worst taxi experience ever. Got in the taxi at 00:15 midnight with my 4 year old son who was asleep in my arms. 5 shopping bags in the boot. When i called to book my taxi i had specifically said that i need a car with a card reader as i do not have cash on me only Apple Pay. When i got in my taxi he said cash please, i had explained that i asked for card reader i do not have cash on me. He then said cash only and upfront because now i dont trust you, or get out my taxi. He was willing to kick me out with my sleeping child in my arms and 5 shopping bags gone midnight. I have used pj cars for almost 10 years and never experienced anything like this. It is disgusting and something needs sorting as this is NOT professional at all and you do NOT treat your customers like this!! Appalling.

Nasty taxi driver. Incident occurred in morning. He was very disrespectful. It was a Toyota taxi and it was big just like his ego! Wont be booking from this company again.

Put discount coupons through my door, so thought i would give them a chance. £1 discount for a £5 pound journey. Be aware, they do not put the running fare for view. I had to ask them to do it. Horrified to see what they charge, roughly double from Windmill pub to Gleadsmoss Lane Oakwood. Or ir would have been if i didn't stop them and drop me off. Scam company. Do not use them.

Ive now been let down twice in the same way by this company. This time they arrived a half hour early, and when we came out at the agreed pick up time the car was nowhere to be seen. After ringing to find out where the driver was we were told he would be another half an hour. The first time we used Village Cars it was to collect me from my Daughters wedding at midnight. It was prebooked a fortnight previously and when no one turned up we were told it was very busy that evening! On chasing the car during the next 45 minutes we were repeatedly told the driver was on the driveway when he plainly wasnt. 45 minutes after the agreed time the car arrived to take us home by what I can only describe as the very long way. No apology at all. I wouldnt use this taxi firm if it was the last taxi firm on the planet. To cap it all the driver was extremely aloof and didnt even get out of the car on collection or arrival to help people in or out of the vehicle. AVOID

Reckless driver and a massive rip off! Driver picked up someone else and made us wait an extra half our. Then wanted £18 for a half hour journey. Just don't use them!

This firm charged us £5 for a half mile journey. This was a complete rip off. Do not use this company.

Pre-booked with an agreed price for a return journey. When the taxi turned up to collect for the return, the driver and then the office demanded an extra £10. We waited another hour for another taxi. I will never use this firm again. BEWARE

This taxi company has to be the worst for being honest with booking times. Few drivers try to chat you up too, they should be more professional.
