    The standard of service provided by Western has declined significantly this year.Taxis are frequently late, even if prebooked, and often go to the wrong address. On 13th of September I booked a taxi for an appointment at the Royal Derby for an appointment that I had waited 7 months for to come through.The taxi did not arrive and I phoned Albatross in the end-they arrived in less than 10 minutes.DO NOT USE WESTERN.If I could give them zero stars I would

    Wish I'd read these reviews before hand. Absolute joke of a company. Pre booked and paid for a taxi journey to the train station. Driver was 30 mins late for a 06.25 pick up. Had to make own way and when I enquired about a refund it was refused, to be told I should have allowed longer . Its a 5 minute journey so ample time was left. It was then blamed on traffic. Traffic on a bank hol Monday morning.. don't think so. Stuart Lyon needs a lesson in customer service!!!!

    Pre booked, prepaid, waited outside for 30mins after midnight to then be informed it was cancelled. Left stranded at midnight. Terrible service, not safe to operate

    Reluctant to even give them 1 star, pre booked car for an event, waited 15 minutes past arranged pick up time, rang up to enquire where my taxi was to be told there is no cab in your area? Enquired how this was possible when I pre booked to be told thats the way it works and I was unlikely to get one as the fair is not worth it! Honestly why take the booking then?? Ended up driving. Not a reliable taxi firm at all!

    Booked a taxi to and from Trent bridge for the cricket on Sunday, taxi there worked fine, taxi home was cancelled. This was despite the payment being taken and the app telling us the drivers name and car registration! Only found out it was cancelled when we rang up. At least we got a refund, got home by train eventually. Wont use this bunch of clowns again!

    Excellent service. Kind and helpful receptionists, clean and comfortable cars, prompt pick up with helpful drivers both there and back. Don't use a taxi often but would always use Western cars first.

    If I could give this firm zero stars I would. Contacted them via the automated call system. Car turns up and driver cant get the app working so it made us 15 minutes late. In the messing around to get to the appointment I left my phone on the seat. Called the number and told the phone operator what happened. He then completely denied that I had used them and after pleading with him he hung up. Got the phone back when the driver realised what happened. Used Uber for the first time for the journey home. Disgraceful company.

    Didn't turn up on time ,the driver stood back and watched us struggle with cases .said couldn't touch them due to covid ,soon took the money A disgusting company ilm never use you again

    Not disability friendly. Staff in booking office rude and unhelpful. Firm as shabby as the building they're housed in. Will not use again, unless for some odd reason I particularly want to be ignored thru a broken window and sit on a haemorrhoid inducing seat for 30 mins.

    DO NOT TRUST. Pre booked a taxi that didnt turn up, after several calls and promises of being on the way they eventually admitted they had no driver to dispatch, left stranded at an isolated closed venue late at night, Albatross came to the rescue, wont use Western again, would give no stars if possible.

    Very poor taxi company I pre booked a taxi the evening before I needed to get to the station. The car didn't turn up but instead of being honest and telling me they were not coming they kept telling me they would be a few minutes. I missed my train. They should let you know. We will not use them again and neither will my friends and family

    Pre-booked car did not turn up, when 10 minutes late I called again, was told via automated booking system would be another 25-30 minutes. Cancelled and used Albatross, arrived in 5 minutes, thanks to Albatross I was only a few minutes late. Western are unreliable, awful service, poor automated booking system that does not work.
