DANGEROUS FOR WOMEN: REPORTED TO THE POLICE FOR COMMON ASSAULT. CHARGED A THIRD MORE THAN QUOTED. DO NOT USE. Star Taxis quoted £24 return to the hospital but charged . The driver NOT ONLY WAS LATE and then YELLED AT THE WOMEN who had booked the taxi as she was COMING OUT OF THE HOSPITAL IN TEARS, HE ALSO THREATENED TO LEAVE HERE THERE EVEN AFTER PAYING. After calling five times, and being told that we would receive a call back five times only for no one to return the call, we finally spoke to Dave, the owner, who agreed that the price had been 'wrongly quoted'. He still refused to refund the money and said that the driver would be sanctioned. We didn't even want the whole fee back, just the fee that had originally been quoted. You run the risk not only of the taxi being late, and being significantly overcharged, but being alone in a taxi as a woman and being assaulted for your troubles.
