Taxis in RG26

We booked a taxi for 4 adults to take us to a restaurant & a return trip. The driver who picked us up was on time, friendly & efficient ( he deserves a very good rating). For the return journey, the company could not come up with a driver and after 50 minutes of waiting & numerous phone calls to them, we fortunately found another means to return home. Alpha cars seem to have a monopoly on all taxi firms in Basingstoke ... sadly they did no fulfill their obligation, so we would not recommend them.

Called a day in advance asking for a 3:15pm sharp service for a school run, even sharing with the operator that if I was not going to be able to make it "my wife would've killed me". Service confirmed and call 30 min before the expected time (2:45pm on the day) to confirm all was booked and ready. 3:15 Nothing!... called and they advise the vehicle was on its way, 3:25 nothing! 3:27 vehicle showed up telling me he was just told about the service. Had to collect my kids at the school reception because of course, I was 10 mins late...

They don't deserve even a one star. I booked a taxi on Friday, wanted it to come on Saturday. I waited 15mins for a taxi, I was in hurry, so I called to Alpha Cars asking where is taxi, the operator said it will be with me soon. Taxi never showed up. I called again and said it's not here so I want to cancel it. They said sorry and sent me a message that the driver couldn't find me which is not true! The taxi never come to pick me up. So disappointed, because of them I was late to my appointment. I will never use them again and won't recommend to anyone.

The company is good depending on what driver you get there is a mini bus driver who resembles Shrek with a Liverpool accent beware he is a greedy bully.

Worst taxi company in Basingstoke order anying thing nere 12pm they say thay can't do it till 1 am rude staff on the phone as well and will lie though there teeth there is only 1 taxi company in Basingstoke delta cars cheaper and want to help you un like greedy alfa cars

Rude and disrespectful

Best taxi ride ever! Turned up on time, put up with three lashed up passengers & even cranked up the tunes for us to have a sing-song. Not an unreasonable price either.

He turned up late, the car was dirty. Quite expensive. Never again!

Appalling customer service! Return taxi booked well in advance of event. Confirmatory e mail received, only to be cancelled several days later with no explanation as to the reason why?! Phoned to enquire why and was met with complete indifference by the call handler. To give them 1 star is being generous! DO NOT USE THEM!!

Was let down by Cabco on way to the airport with my family .. Phoned AMPM TAXIS & 15 minutes later was on my way to Heathrow airport. Thanks AMPM you saved our holiday, these guys are fantastic, highly recommended.. Absolutely fantastic service..

Booked 2 cars to pick up 6 people at 22:30. One car turned up and took 4 people. Second car did not turn up waited till 22:50. Then had to make alternative transport to get home.

Quite an uncomfortable ride with a very patronising driver, I'm sure most of the drivers are fairly pleasant, however the driver was constantly contrary towards my destination I told him to drop me off at, and kept being quite rude towards my navigational communication; subsequently having to be dropped off early and walking the rest of my journey, not pleased! However the car was very quick and cheap, and not just because I only drove half the journey and had to walk the rest! :)

Ordered a taxi at 5:45pm for pickup. When the taxi shoud have been at the door they send a dispatch text instead. I called to track my taxi as I was running late for work already, instead i was faced with rude , unhelpful staff who didn't want to help at all. I won't be using Alpha Cars again, nor would I reccomend it. Would not even give one star for this horrible taxi company. (basingstoke)

17 Wouldn't recommend personally. Booked a taxi on Saturday 2nd Sep 17 2 hours before I needed it. 10 minutes passed from our due pickup time so rang to see where it was. The male operator was rude and said how he didn't control the taxis and would get here when it gets here... what's the point in pre booking if it still doesn't arrive. Taxi eventually turned up 40 minutes after it was booked for! Operator was poor in handling this and very bad customer service. As I say personally I wouldn't recommend and would highly recommend you chasing the car up before it's too late for you as well if you do book.

I know of this company and the owners were banned indefinately from running coaches... MIKES TRAVEL. Says it all with some of their cars, too old and inspected for taxi plate with a few back handers i think!

These people are soo bloody rude never have taxis call then self asap taxi yet they never have any so I wouldn't bother using them! They also turn up late rubbish service

I have prebooked a taxi yesterday and it has been agreed for 9 o'clock today. I need to get to work and no one showed up. Unreliable, very poor and cost me lots of trouble !! Never again !!!
