Taxis in S99

Wouldnt even give them one star if Im honest. Just got a lift back home from a pub about a 6/7 minute drive away and on the monitor or his phone, whatever it was, the total for the journey was £9.20 but the driver ended up asking for £18. Im not being funny but how does a six minute drive add up to £18, bearing in mind I got a taxi on the way there which came to £7.10. Unbelievable, will definitely not be using them again.

I've just had a lovely evening and then got into a taxi from goldstar. He said where to and I told him the road and omg he went I don't know it what's the postcode and I didn't know it and next min he's f.... ng this and how the f.. k do I find a street you can't spell I said hang on I can spell it but I don't know the postcode. He ends up with Google maps and he still had a go at me. Shaking his head looking at me in his rear view mirror and muttering under his breath. Where on earth do you get your drivers from ? I'm not being spoken to or even made to feel like that. I'm going back to martini taxis.

Ok I'm just going to come out and say it... Why is it that these taxis absolutely stink. They're filthy and always smell & you know what they smell of ! If I was to post it on here I guess the post would be taken down. Clean your cars and maybe change your diets.

Absolutely spot on from booking to arriving home. Gold Star helped us out previously when we were let down by another Rotherham taxi firm, and their service this time was exceptional. Friendly, helpful lady when booking, a text when the taxi was about twenty minutes away on the night and another as it arrived outside. A clean vehicle, friendly driver and very reasonable charge. Well done and thank you.

they are so nice. They give good manners and give me free lolly for my daughter. i tell everybody to go there. there is 2 very good worker i think they should be employee of the month and year. there names where click and eddy

Booked a week in advance to go to staton they were so late missed my train and no appologies driver very rude

Booked a taxi the night before for 7:40am to be at work for 8 oclock and the taxi didnt turn up till 8:05, phone them at 7:45 said they were 5 minutes away, they wasnt!

Estimated cost to Manchester airport £58. Actual cost £70!

After the last bus missed out AGAIN, I had to phone for a taxi but explained in only had £5 so could they take me as far as it goes & the driver ask where I lived & said he would take me home even though it would have cost more, he was such a nice man, I don't think you would get that with other companies so thank you martini for such good service.

Worst service ever, definetely do not recommend it. Ordered a taxi for 5:40am and it didnt come till 5:55am which lead to me being late for work. Ridiculous.

They sead he add a taxi then when I told him were i was going then they said they have not got one.and told him I need to get bk as my son was in a fit an he says not my fault

Absolute rip off. Didnt go by meter reading. Went by negotiating a price hahah. His number taxi is 1481. Dont trust him.

would highly recommend not using this service as I had booked a round trip to Barnsley, i had paid £30.96 via the app and had also booked a pre booking for 12:00 the taxi did not show up till 12:10pm ... anyways we got to Barnsley half had been paid i was watching the driver carefully and he cancelled the app payment then authorized for a full cash payment he took us to the Asda on Chaucer road and told me he wanted £50 in cash and would not take no for answer the cherry on the top of this is that the app also charged me £49.65 even though i paid £50 in cash i am currently waiting on a refund for the money that came out of my bank and keep being told to email them. this is absolute bullcrap as i have used this taxi firm all my life and they robbed me of two different payments and the trouble only started when they took over city cabs.

Absolutely do not use if you have to be anywhere in a rush. Even if you pre book on the app youre still guaranteed to be late as no driver will pick up the job until the time its pre booked for. Customer service staff are rude a lot of the time and have a reputation for being rude or uncooperative, I dread to think how they talk to the drivers. I would suggest only using outside of peak times. Never had an issue with any of the drivers.

I forgot my purse in a taxi last night around 8 pm, I only discovered this morning around 8 am. Called the customer service and was asked to call in the afternoon because their drivers arent available. My partner decides to call them from America because my bank card and student rail cards are all in the purse. She hung up on him 3 times and all the time blaming him that I should have kept my property safe. And till now, I have not gotten any information on my missing property. I think their service is crappy. I have just deleted the app and I will rather stick with Uber, Atleast they care about me and whats mine.

Hopped in an Excel taxi at Sheffield train station for a short ride home after a very long trip. On the way my husband asked driver if he took credit cards, guy replied "Cash". Husband requested driver stop at cash machine and made clear we had no cash on us. We suggested stops on the way and the driver ignored us, pretended not to hear. At our destination husband again offered to pay by card, thinking the 'cash' was a preference only. Driver rejected card, so we had to travel several blocks around to a nearby cash point in order to pay him, and got out to walk the extra bit home with our luggage. The whole thing was a ploy to extend the trip and milk a few more pounds out of us.The side of the taxi shows an array of cards it will accept, and the 'tap to pay' icon. This company should not be allowed to use the train station taxi rank.

Called today, in total agony, to get a taxi to the A & E. Didn't have any cash so asked to pay by card. The receptionist was exceptionally rude and aggressive. She took no time to help me even though I said and she could hear, how much pain I was in. I've used Excell for years, I won't be doing it again!!!!!!!

Driver refused to take us all the way home because he said the road would be Icey we assured him that the road was ok but he would not listen.So we had to get out and walk, it was midnight and very cold, but worse was to come because we were nearly hit by a car as the lane was narrow.

I cant express how unprofessional and rude this company is. I have used this company on a number of occasions as they are local and I like to support local businesses, plus they have a couple of friendly drivers, but I simply cannot continue to use such a poor and unreliable service with such rude phone staff. Today for example, I ordered a taxi to work for 8.20. I booked this at around 7.30 am to avoid any issues and was told the taxi was confirmed. Just after 8.20 I rang asking where my taxi was and I was told it would be around another 10 minutes with no apology. I waited 10 minutes and was notified by the automatic phone message that the taxi would be another 6 minutes late meaning that I had to cancel since I would be late to work. I rang up to cancel and the phone operator hung up on me for cancelling! So rude.

Always punctual very friendly drivers cheap fares would recommend this service to anyone . Used on a regular basis .Can b a bit confusing when trying to get picked up from a new venue as the automated system tries to send to your last pick up point .kev in norton

Watched one of the drivers throwing litter out of his window in woodseats. Poor image for the company. Driver of a blue skoda Octavia SG59 RLV. I'd appreciate his manager pointing out how unacceptable that is.

Do Not Use always late very rarely on time ,you phone to find out where the car is only to be told one thing then call again to be told something totally different.So avoid at all cost do not use

Do not use this company. We booked with them 2.5 weeks in advance for a wedding event in a remote location. They cancelled our booking a few days before the event but they did not contact us to let us know so we only discovered this while already at the wedding with no chance to make alternate arrangements so my family were left stranded miles from our hotel. Shameful behaviour and no real apology. Do yourself a favour and use anyone else.

Cheap fare prices, they are always prompt on the arrival!

Generous prices as their minimum fare price is just 3.50 that is cheap in my area.Service has been very quick in the past,drivers have turned up on time always and been friendly to me.

Always double or triple the time estimates, never apologise for delays. Some of the drivers are rude.

My boyfriend needed to get somewhere urgently so he called these guys and they didnt turn up for half an hour so he rang again turns out they never even sent one but one should be coming soon, waited about 20mins and never turned up so he rang them up to cancel because he was getting a different taxi and the bloke on the phone said “I thought we had already cancelled” my boyfriend was waiting nearly an hour for nothing yet they said twice that theyre coming to pick him up. The other taxi he called not from this place came within 5mins. Do NOT recommend this place
