Rang John about our broken Panasonic TV - 14 years old and ahead of its time when we bought it. Diagnosed the mainboard as the issue and located a supplier. 5 days later hes back when the board arrived and installs the new board and we are back with a TV. An obvious expert who methodically problem solves. Highly recommended

On our very old Pioneer TV stopped working. This man John Smith was amazing. He came and took it apart and felt sure it was the power board. He located a new one online and I purchased it for about £30. When it came, he replaced the faulty board and it all worked. It was a very difficult job, very heavy, masses of screws even to get the case off. He is a real expert and honest and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

As per phonic talk i went personally with my car radio repair ,he checked manually. he don't know how to sort out aerial problem. Unable to do anything and charged too much(cash-no receipt0 for not doing anything so make sure before to job with him. I never find this type of experience anywhere.. Bharat Mehta

I called John Smith and asked him to come and look at my broken B&O TV. On the day he had arranged to come, I changed my mind and called him to say I was thinking about my options and not to come, but he persuaded me that it could be an easy fix. He came at 1 ish and looked at the TV and said it could be a board inside the TV. I took it off the stand (v heavy) and he got his screwdriver out and took the back off. He pointed to a component which he called the the T-Con board and said it could be that, but there was no guarantee. He said "if you are good at googling can you find one online". I searched for the part (without success) while he had a cup of tea, used the loo and then advised me that it might be a good idea to buy a complete TV which I had found while searching. He put the back of the TV on and I put it on the stand, now 2:55pm! He had removed 15 screws and put them back. "What do I owe you John?" "2 hours at £35 an hour + £70 call out" £140 for that!! Avoid, avoid, AVOID.

John was absolutely fantastic and overall did a very professional job. I took my beloved Stanton T.92 turntable which I sort of already knew it blew a few internal components including main glass 0.5 amp fuse, but wasn't sure to what extent (my fault really... long story), so very patiently & meticulously he eventually found out it had blown other internal miniscule fuses, and got it fixed. All done and dusted within 2 hrs, while I waited. Well worth the trip, time and money spent to get the job done. Highly recommended! Cheers John!! 10/10

I took John my Dual Turntable that had a lot of humming and the speed control was faulty. I was extremely pleased with the way John repaired them both. He even removed scratch marks on the Perspex lid without being asked to. I felt he dealt with me in a very professional manner and I would certainly recommend him and his competent work. CARE. - John was UNABLE to fix our VHS he also CHARGED us an extra 2 hours on top of the original 4! He did not phone us for approval! We regretted giving him the money as soon as we got home. We sent an email - NO REPLY! He sold us an old VHS that worked for rather more than the going cost of one second hand. We were in a vulnerable place grieving for our daughter and wanting to watch videos of her.

I took Mr Smith my Evoke F4 Internet radio which needs a new display fitting. He said it would take him four hours for which he quoted £140 (plus the cost of the component). He refused point blank to give any estimate of when he would do the work and was very unpleasant about it. I decided not to go ahead. Online forums suggest that it is fairly easy to replace the display. I wish I had read the reviews before dealing with this person. He is probably the most unpleasant man I have met in years.

Had this man come to look at our 65" Samsung yesterday. Even though I had explained the fault on the telephone, a bright white light on the screen, he didn't remember the conversation. He arrived 30 mins late, sat and looked at the light for 30 mins saying he had never seen it before. He suggested that the wall mounting bolt could have affected the screen by somehow becoming magnetised !!!!, charged me £67.50 and left. Would NEVER use his services again.
