The Ferry Inn is an ancient Seventeenth Century pub and restaurant that was the home of the ferry between the Isle-of-Oxney and the English mainland at Appledore. It is situated in the midst of beautiful countryside between Tenterden Appledore Stone-in-Oxney and Wittersham and adjoins the historic Saxon Shore Way. It is also only 6 miles away from Rye and Camber Sands.

A collection of pastel painted houses built from flint and stone, it lies in a valley a mile off the main A37 Dorchester to Yeovil road and every route in to our village is chocolate box pretty. Hercules Revived is a beautiful Country Inn situated in the beautiful village of Sutton Cheney. Late in 2012 a team of heritage people and craftsmen totally reformed the tired 17th Century Inn, creating a wonderfully relaxed bar and simple dining on the ground floor with a large open fire, and a series of elegantly decorated, cosy restaurant rooms on the first floor.
