After a previously awful experience with a cowboy firm, we were very nervous to begin another house extension. We were recommended Chirton Builders as theyd been labelled high quality and most importantly trustworthy. This is exactly what we found Phil and the team to be. They built us a 2 story extension and did some knock through works in the rest of the house to open things up a bit. Yes there were some unexpected delays and some stumbling blocks, but the communication was always there from Phil and ultimately as a customer whose home and life savings are in the hands of a stranger - communication and trust is key. I cant fault them there. The standard of the work was very high quality, and there were a few chops, changes and additions that we decided upon last minute which Phil and the team took in their stride and delivered upon. I would recommend this firm to anyone, and we will more than likely instruct them on any future works we do to our home. Thank you Phil and team.

Chirton Building Company has just finished a small extension to Upavon Chapel which is a Grade II Listed Building. The work done is of excellent quality and we are really pleased with the finished results. It was a tricky site due to the proximity of a graveyard at a higher level, but Phil and his team sorted out all the challenges in a professional way. They also showed great care in protecting the chapel itself at all times. Thank you for a good job well done!

Phil Newman and his team are a first rate building outfit with a real specialisation in cellar conversions. They converted an 800 sq foot cellar from a damp space that could not be used for anything other than wine storage to a superb home cinema, gym and utility space incorporating natural light, an innovative removable staircase balustrade, totally waterproof tanking and ventilation to every room. The price was super value for money, Phil's team of Richard, Martin and Simon are A grade craftsmen and always cheerful. Phil is very honest and professional. I am delighted with their work and its added huge value to our house and the way we live in it. I cannot recommend Chirton builders highly enough.

We have had significant work done on our old cottage over many years by Chirton Building Company. From significant structural rebuilding and dampproofing, through new windows and external doors, to new heating system (including underfloor), plumbing, electrics, insulation on solid walls, replacement floor tiling, painting and decorating. Throughout, Chirton Building Co have been excellent. Very good communication at all times, very good and conscientious workmanship, all carried out in sympathy with the building. We would thoroughly recommend without reservation.

Being exceptionally pleased with the work AllroundUK had previously competed for me I am a repeat customer. This time I had some very tricky worktops replaced in my kitchen and a large amount of tiling above them. I was thrilled with the results. My house is a 16th century cottage so the walls are a challenge. Gavin's attention to detail was fantastic, nothing was an issue and the results are incredible! Exceptionally pleased customer. Matthew removed a window and created space for a new front door with side panels. All work was completed to a high quality and on time. What impressed me most was the time taken to ensure no damage was done to all parts of the house and driveway, and the fact that they always cleaned up before they left at the end of the day. David explained all the work that was required very thoroughly and kept us updated throughout the process, sending several before and after photos. He answered our many questions and he is very knowledgeable. The work on our roof has come with a 10 year guarantee, so we also have peace mind! I work in construction, so have had experience of working with several different roofers, and I have to say ABRS are a top quality roofing company that I would definitely recommend.

Daren and his assistant Gerwyn just completed a 2m high, 14.5m long garden party wall construction in double concrete block at my house in Blackwood. Having interviewed several builders, I knew within minutes of him measuring up the site and beginning to discuss our options that whatever his price, Darren would get the job. He is keen, fair and calculated on pricing and accurate in his estimating. He is open minded and willing to think about how best to achieve the optimum result that is what he and Gerwyn achieved. They are an excellent working team and I unhesitatingly recommend D J Hopkins building services. Darren is only interested in executing the best work. My advice is don't mess him around on price, he is completely trustworthy and don't look for the cheapest option, he is not the cheapest but he is the best because he is intelligent and skillful. He enjoys working with architects and I enjoyed working with him. Five stars...a breath of fresh air in the Valleys.

Darren has just completed our home and garden renovation works and we couldnt be happier. We had a considerable amount of work done and we really feel that we got value for money. From the beginning everything ran smoothly. They were happy to show us (ongoing) work in the neighbourhood. Everything was explained in detail to us by Saul Dix i.e. the quotation and work to be carried out. He also checked with us a quite few times to make sure we were happy with what was going on. There was no 'hard sell' whatsoever. The work was completed in the expected time frame. The workmen (Barry, Mark and Robbie) were polite and efficient. We are not experts in roofing but it looks fabulous and we have every confidence in the standard of workmanship. The site was left tidy every night (hosed) and the main work area was given an extra clean upon completion. Windows and sills were also cleaned. BMCCS excelled our expectations. We had 4 quotes in total, including Severnside, the pricing was around the same so we asked to see previous and current work and after seeing that we decided to go with Severnside. My son's bungalow needed a complete re-roof, felt, membrane, batons and tiles. We were very pleased with the work carried out, some of my son's neighbours even commented on how well it was completed. They were fast, accurate and half way through they invited us up to have a look at the work so far. They were extremely tidy and even went through with a blower.
