Singing technique helps all singers- If you want to sing classical music or music theatre, jazz or blues. Many people are coming to me now because they have vocal problems throughing singing gigs without training their voices to take the strain. Look at the headlines in the paper and you will see how this can ruin careers! But not only do you sing more safely you sing more beautifully if you learn some of the techniques I will show you. In order for the techniques to work the body has to be strong so I teach from age 13 years upwards for girls and about 15 for boys as long as the voice has broken and is stable. My oldest student is 78 and I am delighted wih her progress. Older peopl can improve their lung capacity and gain a great deal of othe mental and physical health benefits from improving their singing. For younger people being interested in Rock or Pop the thing that comes as a shock is that these techniques aply just as much to them and most big stars have had some training
