Kind of a mixed bag; ordered the taxi because my friend needed to move her stuff from her parents to mine (she'd been kicked out) and when the driver pulled up he looked at the stuff and said that 'when moving house they normally charge whatever's on the clock plus an extra fiver's. When I explained the situation he agreed not to charge extra but still angry that they might be ripping people off with extra fees, especially when the sign inside the taxi says they aren't allowed.

wonderful taxi service, very fast. i rate these much higher than the likes of Gett taxi and Uber. the evening staff are a delight to talk too, and the drivers themselves are outstanding and very cheerful. keep up the good work central taxi's!

The driver will be with you in 5-10 minutes seems to be a favourite catch phrase with these bunch of clowns, try 1 hour! The operators think they can be rude when you call to find out where your taxi is. If you aren't in a hurry then this is the company for you, otherwise absolutely avoid.

I WOULD GIVE THEM LESS STUPID DRIVER THOUGHT HE COULD CHARGE MY MISSES A RIDE HOME IN SEX!!!! NO. So instead he kicked her out in the middle of no where. Stay away from these. I'm taking it further. Enough said.

I wouldn't use this firm of taxis from a safety perspective as one of their drivers collided with my parked vehicle and just left it. Photos were taken but when the driver returned to his taxi he refused to accept liability and drove off without exchanging details. Rude unprofessional and in my opinion dangerous!!

I've had a very rude phone call from this company, i phoned once on behalf of a women locked out her nieces house without a phone, the women on the other end of the phone asked me for my name and I went to ask her what her name was and the women on the other end of the phone told me when I remember my name to ring someone else, and I rang back a second time and asked for a taxi from the same address and asked for her name as I knew she was the same women and she refused. The same women told me she wasn't sending one and put the phone down again. I am very appalled by this service never using this service again!!!

Very bad service booked taxi b 4 hand no show of driver number 1 then no show driver number 2 then a 3rd driver had to come was not happy will NEVER b using this service again

Awful experience - needed a taxi from Ryton (20 mins outside Coventry) which I booked in the morning for 1700. The taxi wasn't even dispatched until 16:52 and when I pointed out my advance booking, they said they didn't have any taxis in the area (despite knowing my booking!). I won't be using this company again. I also had a rude phonecall from the driver once I complained to the call centre, saying it wasn't my fault he was stuck in traffic!

My experience has been awful. First of all the taxi was half an hour late. Secondly, when one arrived, he refused to wait for the next one (because I ordered two) as we wanted to go in a party. This is the second occasion that this has happened, and I'm thoroughly unimpressed. Do not recommend.

Worst experience from a taxi company. Phoned and booked, guy said 10 mins, phoned 15 mins later and they said I hadn't booked. Then took another 20 minutes. Missed the fast train to London.

I use Central Taxis often and find them to be a reliable and friendly firm. They also have a 'text message' service others don't have. The driver waited patiently as I have been unwell.
