Terrible company. I pre-booked and they didnt turn up. When I called they at first claimed not to have the booking. I asked the agent to check with his manager. He then agreed they did have the booking and sent a car: 35 mins late. No apology or explanation. They dont care.

Awful. This taxi company should be shut down. I booked a pre paid taxi for 4am. I called the day before to check it would arrive, and I was informed that it would. The taxi did not arrive. I was left stranded, a 22 year old young woman, in the dark, alone. I managed to get another taxi - I called the company the next day, to ask them to cover the difference, which was refused. I did not receive an apology. Without a doubt the worst taxi company I have ever come across.

Booked a cab in advance to take me to the station. They werent there at the time - 15 minutes later I got a text saying they were very busy, but not giving me an updated time. I texted again. Nothing. I called the number - disconnected. Half an hour after the appointed time they still werent there; I had missed my train. I didnt get an apology or an explanation. They really let me down.

Do not use if you want to get home. I received an email confirming the pick up at 22.30 from a small village in south Cambridge. At 22.37 I received another email saying the taxi had been cancelled. I phoned and they said they hadn't got the postcode for the address and that they had tried to phone me. I had no missed calls. My daughter spoke to them and they put the phone down on her. In the end after several calls Panther taxis came to the rescue. Unacceptable lack of concern for their customers.

Late. Rude. Avoid. The cab took forty minutes to arrive. The driver was aggressive, and told us we got the name of our own street wrong. Never have I had such an appalling experience with a taxi company. Avoid at all costs, they do not deserve your custom.

Pre booked taxi with friends and 10 minutes after they were meant to come I phoned and they told me it would be another hour or two. No apology, no trying to help. Ridiculous. DON'T USE THEM - panther stepped in to save the day, arrived within 10 minutes and was cheaper! Really useless!

Terrible. Shocking. Text me to say cancelled because I didn't show up. This was nearly 15 minutes BEFORE my pickup time. Missed my train and connecting trains. Cost me 200 quid. Avoid these idiots like the plague.

Same as many stories above - I had a confirmed booking from the night before for 04:40. At 04:35 I tried to call to check and no one picked up. At 04:40 when I finally got through, operator told me no one is on a shift and they will come only with 20 minute delay. He didn't even apologize or try to help and said I should have called him earlier!!

Camcabs were booked at 22:06 to pick up my daughter at 23:59. At 00:04 I called to ask where the cab was and was as my daughter was anxiously waiting alone on Whittlesford station told it was 11 min, then 2 mins away - the cab eventually arrived at just before 00:15. I contacted the company discussed the events, agreed an apology and a full refund of the £29.40 charge on my credit card (more than the £28 quoted). The refund never materialised and eventually I was told the CEO has decided there would be no refund as they picked my daughter up!! I talked to the CEO who stated a refund had never been agreed as he had listened to the recorded conversation, which I was unaware of - I asked for a copy - it was for internal use only, so no. His justification for refusing a refund was simple, my daughter had been picked up and he can't be responsible any for delays! I will leave it to the readers to judge where the CEO's priorities are.....and how Camcabs value their customers.

SCAM WARNING: I strongly advice against using this taxi company as they run a scam involving taking an upfront payment for a return journey then not turning up to pick you up. We booked a taxi to take us from the Quy Mill Hotel to Newmarket race course on Friday 19th, I also booked the return journey at the same time. They insisted that I pay for the return journey when we were dropped off at the venue to make sure we werent a “No Show”. I was happy to do this and paid the £20 each way when we arrived. When they didnt turn up for the return journey I called them and they insisted the taxi was on its way. It turn out that the driver did arrive and just picked up the first customer who flagged him down. A few more calls to the company were made and they said they would resend him. Another 45 mins later I had a call from the driver saying he would not come all the way (8 miles) back out to collect us as he was on his way home. They will not refund the prepayment

We prebooked and prepaid for a Cam Cab Ltd car to collect us from Newmarket Racecourse on 19/06/15 at 11:15pm. We waited 2 hours and they never showed up, not even after they sent my husband a text stating that the 'taxi is here'. They lied on the phone about what had happened, they refused to refund us (£20 for a 7 mile journey) and we will never use them again.

We booked this company to take our mum to our sons wedding not only did they pick her up late they delivered her to the wrong wedding venue after driving her around for over an hour!

We paid 13.00 with another company going out. Coming back at 11.00pm Cam Cab charged us 27.00 more than double . This was for an 8 mile journey taking 15 mins. Would not use again .
