Do not use this company. We booked with them 2.5 weeks in advance for a wedding event in a remote location. They cancelled our booking a few days before the event but they did not contact us to let us know so we only discovered this while already at the wedding with no chance to make alternate arrangements so my family were left stranded miles from our hotel. Shameful behaviour and no real apology. Do yourself a favour and use anyone else.

Just been charged£6.50 to travel one mile to shop and back rip off meter started at£5.00 won't be using again I'd have walked if Id not just had an operation on my leg terrible service

Reading some of the reviews i dont no how they got alot of 1 star ratings. I have been using this service for past 3 years and they have always been spot on with me. I understand sometimes they are busy and could be running late but that is same with other public transport. Venture Taxis is the best firm in dearne area by far i can vouch for them. Well done guys keep up the good service.

reliable, friendly, quick service, the mobile app is good way of booking a taxi also can be tracked to see how long the driver is going to be. cant fault this company

Said they had turn up, I actually spoke to a venture taxi driver 5 minutes before so how could they have been there. Lef us stranded avoid at all cost you have been warned.

Awful experience the taxi driver was asking if I had a boyfriend and when I said no asked who I lived with very pushy made me feel uncomfortable to top it off he had terrible body odour never again.

Got a taxi from swinton with my partner, put to go to Brampton but asked if we could do a drop off at wath first! Got out to go bank machine and he turned montier off and said he thought I was getting dropped off here even though I said from the beginning we was using bank machine, he said he couldnt take me anywhere else as he already pressed for another job

Great taxi company, always on time, some drivers are quiet but pleasant, never had a problem in the few years I've used them, used for airport twice and laughed all way there and learned plenty of cultural stuff, interesting driver

We booked a taxi to go home from work.Everything was fine until we had set off and the driver was driving on the wrong side of the road swerving out of the way of cars.I rang to complain and they hung up on me.You shouldnt have to feel like you have to hold on for dear life in a car with someone that drives for a living.If i could give it 0 stars i would.

ignorant and don't listen to you, wanted a taxi at 8pm, they said in 5 mins, i said no it's only 6pm, they said they were booked at 8pm and hung up on me, no manners

I use this taxi every morning and they are usually on time and reliable. However my experience on the times I have needed a taxi in the evening has been very different. Invariably I am left waiting and often miss my train as a result. Tonight I have been sat outside for half an hour. Had a text to say one had arrived but it hadn't, was then waiting for a replacement. Missed 2 trains as a result and was an hour late home. As problems seem to stem from the taxi coming to the wrong place or at the wrong time I believe the fault lies with the operators on in the evenings.

Got this taxi firm tonight...a very short distance journey in a 6 seater, asked the driver how much. He said couple of quid each...that's 12quid for a less than 5 minute journey. Asked again how much? His reply...a couple quid EACH. No meter on to dispute it. Ended up giving him a tenner and walking off pretty angry. Called after and asked for a quote, fare should of been £5 max. Disgusting.

Crossing road and ventura taxi driver decided to speed up and nearly run me over before slamming brakes on even though he was miles off. Then decided to call me names rather than apologise. Absolutely discusting.

Venture taxis from manvers, Rotherham, south Yorkshire... My partner pre booked a taxi for my 15 year old sister so that she could meet me there, for half four pm today 30/07/2016 and when it was booked it was explicitly stated that he would be paying for the taxi when she was dropped off. However, what the taxi driver did was accuse her of not paying her fare, and as she did not know where she was going he then would not allow her to call me to confirm it all for him and demanded her phone! Her personal property from a 15 year old minor! When I rung them to report it all I got was 'its policy were allowed to request phones as down payment' This is absolutely appalling. I wouldn't mind but you can clearly hear she was not fron the area and was panicking as it was and then to have her personal property taken from her Absolutely appalling! Will never EVER use then again and i will be sharing the experience with everyone so that they too realise how appalling they are

Will never use again. Turned down my business even thou been using them for last 2 years dispite constantly being left waiting for taxi for school run. Wanted 3 cars for 3 people with 3 cats in carriers

Absolutely shocking they charge 5 quid for a puppy but yet let drunk people in the taxis who are more likely to wee and be sick in a taxi than a puppy. Now my puppy had to stay at my aunties without food scared and no bed!! I will not use again!
