Follow on with the previous review by Christopher, I would like to say that the stranger who picked you up is not a licenced taxi driver. In fact, I believed his name is Tim and he currently working at Ashdown Cars as a telephone personnel. He told me when he collected me in his personal car (which is NOT a licenced taxi) I have kept quiet up until now. Letter or a phone call to their council I think.

I pre-booked a return journey with Ashdown Cars from the Cooper's Arms in Cooper's Lane, Crowborough at 10.20pm on a Saturday evening after a party as I needed to get the last train to London from Crowborough which was at 10.44pm. The Ashdown car never showed and I had to convince a stranger to give me a lift in his taxi to avoid missing my train. From 10.20pm to 10.45 pm I called the Ashdown number 18 times (my phone recorded the number of calls I made) and it was engaged on all 18 occasions. I assume that they had left the phone off the hook and gone home. Very poor service indeed (or indeed, non-existent!) I would advise against using this company unless you like unreliable service!

The drivers @ Ashdown Cars are ok, but the owner of the business, I will not give him the time of day. Rude and abusive, there was an incident happened at a local pub car park the other day, I could not believed what I saw, stay away from this horrible human being. I will never use Ashdown, will use Crowborough Cabs, Stuart's Taxi or Miles Private Hire instead.

Came past Crowborough the other evening, saw one of the driver in a black Ford Galaxy, GJ08*** if I remember correctly, has different colour light on top of the taxi,he was travelling by the Alderbrook area doing way over the speed limit, thought it was a police car to start off until he past me at speed, then I realised it was a cab. Shocking driving by the driver, get him off the road before he cause an accident, will report to the police and council, will never use your service. Shocking behavioir

Stay away from this company, tried to charge me over £50 to go to mine at Oxted from Crowborough, asked the driver where he got the price from, he simply ignored me, will make sure no one else use this firm!!

Unreliable, drivers are okay but the one in charge Don Richard is a nasty man. He argued with me as soon as I entered the cab. He also threatened me. He thinks he is something special. Little does he know how crap his company is. Stay away from this can company. do not give them your money. Not worth it. Try crowborough cabs or Miles private car hire :)

Don is a nasty and vicious man. Stay away from him everyone. He stole from me too, gave him £20 and he gave me back £2.30 change when it was suppose to be £12.30 Told me I gave him £10 instead of £20 Thieving b******
