Philip has spent all his working life in the world of Antiques and Auctions, his parents were book dealers from Burford in Oxfordshire so even school holidays were often spent at sales. Our philosophy here is to work hard and be kind, often working alongside clients who have reached a crossroads in their lives, perhaps a bereavement, or relative going into care, perhaps downsizing or have just had a conversation with their children and realised that they don't want anything from the old family house! Whatever the reason the situation is dealt with both sensitively and with the clients best interests at heart, these sales have become something of an institution and well regarded by both the trade and private purchaser. When not dealing with the day to day dealing of the business, Philip is a contributor to the Antiques Roadshow, while the Antiques Roadtrip and other well known TV programmes film at these fine old buildings. Evenings and weekends often include Charity Auctions, lectures and after dinner speaking. Philip is supported at the Auction by a small team of hardworking and loyal staff, always happy to help with any questions you may have.

Troubridge Antiques is owned by David Brown and situated in Cheltenham. He has over 50 years' experience buying, selling and valuing antiques, art and collectables. David previously worked at Phillips Auction House, Bond Street, London in the early 1970s. He then established an antiques business in Edinburgh and worked in Scotland for 5 years. He moved to the Cotswolds over 20 years ago, and opened trade and retail premises in Montpellier and Great Norwood Street, Cheltenham. Troubridge Antiques are a local company covering the Cotswolds, Midlands, Wales and The Forest of Dean (we do go further afield as the need arises). We have built up a large customer base of buyers paying the top price for goods; locally, nationally and internationally.
