In 2020 the Company was able to purchase The Dolphin Hotel in the centre of Honiton High Street. After eight months of renovation, this historic coaching inn reopened in May 2021 as 'The Dolphin Salerooms', fully equipped to meet the needs of a modern Auction House. Chilcotts employs specialists and consultants covering the full spectrum of the Art, Antique and Collectors world, between them, Chilcotts' specialists have over ninety years experience; the Company also benefits from experienced Saleroom and Administration staff. We are often contacted by family members or solicitors in other parts of the country who need to clear the house of a relative in Devon, West Dorset or West Somerset. We are able to handle complete estates, carrying out full house clearance and leaving the property swept clean if required, thus removing worry at a time of stress.
