Not great, would avoid. Car smelled of cigarettes when I got it which was not nice for my family... Re offhire: TJS phoned, however as i couldn't answer they arrived 1hr later and literally waited less than 6 minutes for me to stop work and answer the door (while in a meeting), then said they couldn't collect and put it back on hire. Then the hire manager insisted this was all my failing! Collected the car later and started to tell me again they waited 10mins etc. Then to cap it all off of course, surprise! found 'new' damage in the form of a tiny stone chip on the windscreen! I should have kept quiet I guess :-(

Have rented cars from them before! Good choice of cars available to rent out!

I would happily recommend Dorset Vehicle Rentals, Dorchester, to anyone looking to rent a van, I've used them before and the service was fantastic so I didn't hesitate to use them again. My mum actually recommend them to me as she'd heard such good things. I was moving from Southampton to Plymouth, but rather than use a local firm I used Dorset Vehicle Rental because of their great service. John went above and beyond to find me the right van, which was 7.5 tonnes, and it was ready and waiting for me on the day.

The service is very stress free and easy to use, the staff there are very thorough and are able to supply a vehicle at short notice without any issues. I would have no trouble in recommended their services to others.

This was the first time I've used Dorset Vehicle Rentals and I was extremely happy with their service. I hired a car from them and whilst we were loading it found that my mothers wheelchair wouldn't fit in the back. They were so accommodating and swapped the car for a more suitable one and went through all the new paperwork with no bother what so ever. I would use them again in the future and also recommend them for their good service.

I cant praise Dorset Vehicle Rentals enough, I've been using then for the past 20-30 years. They are the only place that hires out a van with a tow bar which is so handy. Every time I go in the staff are always the same people and are brilliant, I think that says a lot about a company if the staff have been their a long time. They are very accommodating at short notice and generally provide a fantastic service. I couldn't recommend them more.
