Emergency Response Doctors in Cumbria Saving lives since 1994 For many years, Cumbria's geography made serious accidents and medical emergencies perilous for visitors and residents alike. There was urgent need for an emergency doctor call out service for the county. The BEEP Fund, as it was originally known, was set up to develop an immediate care service for Penrith. It was provided by Penrith and District Accident Scheme (at that time the Birbeck Medical Centre in Penrith). BEEP stood for Birbeck Emergency Equipment for Patients. Now we cover the whole of Cumbria, and have evolved into the familiar BEEP Doctors (Basics) Cumbria Ltd.

Our care We provide care for ex-Service people and their partners who live with disability or dementia in three state-of-the-art Homes. We work to ensure that ex-Service people and their partners who need our care are looked after and respected as individuals. Their nursing, disability and dementia care needs are met in an appropriate, personalised and compassionate way, by highly skilled, motivated staff. We've been providing care for veterans for over a century. We constantly evolve our services and innovate in our care to meet the present and future needs of our Armed Forces, just as we have for more than 100 years. Our mission Royal Star & Garter provides award-winning care for veterans and their partners who live with disability or dementia, in state-of-the-art Homes. The charity was founded in 1916 to care for the severely injured young men returning from the battlegrounds of the First World War. Today, we provide specialist nursing, dementia and therapeutic care, together with a varied and engaging programme of activities, which enable residents to remain independent and enjoy life.

Fostering with a charitable organisation means constant reinvestment in support services and enhancing the lives of carers and the children under our wing. The South Central office in particular has seen massive growth over the 10 years they've been established and have moved twice to accommodate the social worker's and carer's needs. Our charitable status means our focus is solely on that of the individuals we support and not on making a profit. The social workers and administrators are experts in your region and consistently go beyond the call of duty to ensure our carers have the toolset to encourage, develop and support not only the young people in their care but their own families too.

ABOUT US North Country Leisure (NCL) is a not for profit charity, established in 1998 and we manage leisure centres and services on behalf of local councils including Copeland Borough Council, Eden District Council, South Lakeland District Council and Newcastle City Council. In 2015 NCL became a wholly owned subsidiary of The GLL Group; also a not-for-profit leisure trust and social enterprise. FACILITIES A great choice of swimming pools, lessons, courses, sports halls, fitness classes and gyms are available in Appleby, Kendal, Ulverston, Whitehaven, Penrith and across areas of Newcastle including Gosforth, Walker, Byker and West Denton. We also manage some brilliant family days out venues such as tenpin bowling centres, adventure climbing arenas, soft play areas with café and restaurant facilities on hand. Our Leisure Card makes taking part even more affordable with discounts and special offers across our centres.

At Gift Foundation Ltd, we believe that everyone deserves a second chance no matter what has happened in their past, and therefore, we host fundraising events to raise money for those needing support. Furthermore, we created our charity because we wanted to give back to those who supported us through our plights. The money raised from our fundraising is divided between four organisations to ensure that people from all walks of life receive the help they need. The primary 'cause' receives 50% of the funds raised, the second and third 'causes' receive 20%, and the final 10% goes to a nominated 'good cause' that is local to where the event is held. Many people in the UK are suffering from mental and physical health issues because of money problems, and these are the people we want to help the most. Plus, to demonstrate our commitment to making a difference to as many lives as possible, we endeavour to keep overheads for each event below 10% which allows us to give 90% or more to the chosen 'causes'. Welcome To The National Bullying Helpline The National Bullying Helpline provides practical helpline support to both adults and children who are struggling with bullying issues, whether this is in the home, the community, a school or the workplace. Whether the bullying is on or off line, we provide assistance. If the caller is at risk of self-harm or harm from others our volunteers get involved and work closely with the emergency services up to the point that we know that the caller is safe. We save lives. The helpline provides assistance to parents struggling with bullying in schools and also employment advice in cases of alleged workplace bullying (including suspension and dismissal cases). Very often, a caller is highly stressed or even unwell due to the problems they are facing. They just need someone to listen and help them identify a solution or an approach to a problem that they may not have thought through themselves. Our objective is to help a caller remedy their problem, however complex it may seem. The National Bullying Helpline have launched an eCRIME website which will help adults and children with on-line-abuse and/or cyber bullying including; trolling, stalking, grooming, e-theft and any form of harassment on-line. We work closely with the Police in these cases. Bullying is bullying, on or off line. With ever changing technology we are noticing an increase in on-line crime including hacking, trolling, mobbing, grooming, stalking and harassment. These hackers are bullies and bullies do not discriminate. We are all potential targets, on or off line, whether we are an individual, a business or a large Corporation.
