• The most horrific customer experience I have ever had, avoid this company at all costs. The delivery men put the sofa through my ceiling, tried to say that the hole was already their, until finally admitting it was them. They tore the bottom and back of the couch whilst getting it through and did not inform me. I called up to claim compensation for the roof and they asked me for a quote from a plasterer. I had to send in four as they lost 3 quotes, one after the other. I was promised a callback every time they lost it, they never called back. I tried to move house and the removal men noticed the tears underneath the couch and at the back which DFS had caused bringing it in. The delivery men refused to move it as they did not want to be liable for tearing it even more, so I called DFS. DFS advised us to force this through the door and if it does rip, then we can just claim on the insurance. We forced it through the door, it ripped and the insurance said they will not pay out. AND MORE!

• They're very good at getting you to buy the sofa and making their guarantees sound very attractive, initially the service when buying is fantastic as i've bought 2 sofas previously from DFS! BUT on our 3rd purchase before the 2yr guarantee was up it looked scruffy and unkempt as the cushions were all misshapen etc. and tears in the pouffe and one of the seat cushions. It took 3 weeks to get a service manager out and as soon as he entered our home he put the blame on myself for not 'plumping' properly!! Rubbish!! I can't get a response from head office from my complaint, there is no phone number just a customer services email address (which they have not even responded to) or a written address. Beware when buying from this company as they do not live up to their guarantees and aren't bothered about keeping the customer happy just taking their money! I will never buy from themn again...CSL next time
