The house was built in 1850 for Reverend Arthur Lucton Childe. He was related to the Childe, Lacon - Childe and Baldwyn - Childe families of Kilnet Manor, Shropshire and Kyre Park, nr Tenbury Wells. The property was designed by architect, Abraham Perkins from Worcester and was built to offer a property large enough for the reverends family and offering large formal gardens.

With lots of space to park and a large display outside and in, you are going to find what you need. We do not stock china or chocolates, just tools, plants, compost, and building materials! We are local, our staff all live within 4 miles, and most have grown up here. They are proud of the business, and we are proud of them. We know that we can help you with any gardening problems, and we will not sell you a 'quick fix'.
