A 'back street pub' hidden away on Silver Street in Ely, once an officers mess, The Prince Albert has always been known for the high standards of its beer and over the last 6 years has earned a great reputation for food. We work to a simple formula - good beer and good food in a friendly, comfortable environment. To keep our real ale customers happy, we have 10 cask ales/ciders on offer, six of which are rotated regularly. We also hold an annual beer festival in the substantial garden with 30+ beers and ciders available. LOCAL GOURMET There is a cosy restaurant to the rear of the pub as well as a bar area where visitors can eat. Dogs are welcome in the bar area and we do have our regulars! Sunday lunches are particularly lively with a good crowd of both eaters and drinkers. The restaurant is great for private functions and Christmas parties alike. It holds up to 40 people and looks out onto the long, well established garden. All of our food is prepared from fresh so allergies and dietary requirements are easy to cater for. -

The Royal Standard started as a one room public house in the 15th Century and is the oldest building on Ely's Fore Hill. The building has been extended over the years and is now one of Ely's most popular dining and meeting places, attracting both the local residents and visitors. Our extensive food menu is focused on fresh and local as well as seafood and steak, with a good selection of traditional pub food thrown into the mix. An eclectic 60 bottle wine list compliments the varied menu and you can also expect to find well kept real ales, cocktails and a great range of premium spirits. Just as important, we are proud of the service we give and the atmosphere we create!
