The Ye Olde Red Lion is the only public house in the small picturesque, rural village in the rich, flat, Fenland countryside nine miles south-west of Boston, Lincolnshire. The pub was refurbished in 2012 with a focus on keeping its historic features and charm but with a modern comfortable feel. It's an ideal place for a drink with friends or to enjoy a delicious "award winning" homemade meal or a light bite from our unique Lincolnshire Tapas menu. We have a wide selection of real ales and hand picked fine wines. The local farmland produces some of the best quality produce in the area, which we embrace in our tasty dishes. Our team of highly skilled chefs offer a unique dining experience whether it's from our tapas, bar & restaurant or themed menus.

About us The Shires is a true 'hidden gem'! We are tucked away in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside just outside of Kirton Lindsey, but easily accessible by road. We have developed a great reputation in recent years for the quality and choice of our food, wide range of ales, lagers and wines, friendly service and an atmosphere that always enhances your experience. We also have one of the best function rooms in Lincolnshire that can cater for 120 people, and that is totally self contained with it's own bar, stage dance floor and toilets. We love being involved in helping you to plan your event, whatever the size or occasion. We also hold regular entertainment events and support a number of local charities and their fundraising events throughout the year!
