We've used Star Cars several times in the past and had no complaints - we usually travel from Charlestown to St Blazey, a distance of 3.5 miles, and it cost less than a tenner each time. Last weekend we booked a car to take us to Colwith Farm distillery and pick us up a few hours later, a distance of less than 3 miles. When we got there we were charged £16 - we assumed that this was for the return journey also, otherwise we would have cancelled the return and booked with someone else. Unfortunately we were charged another £16 to get home. My husband rang the office when we got home and was told it should have been around £12 but to call back after the weekend. On doing so we were told it was a fixed price of £16, which is definitely a fob-off, unless what they are really telling us that their minimum fare is now £16. Whatever the case, we will not be using them again. The driver didn't even pick us up from the right address. Luckily we saw him turning around at the top of our ro

Terrible untrustworthy firm. Left a party of 6 stranded miles from home, even after they confirmed we had a booking earlier in the evening. 3 of the party in their 70's one with mobility issues which they were aware of. After waiting 30 minutes got through to a rude operator who did not even apologise. We had to be rescued by another taxi firm. Avoid this firm.

Car was 17 minutes late to picking me up I had no apology for the inconvenience. When I rang up after 5 minutes of being late I was told he'd be there any moment. I rang up a second time 15 minutes late and told the reception worker who up until this point had been very helpful that I was going to leave a complaint about this inconvenience and she then proceeded to be very off tone with me. When I arrived at my destination I was no offered any discount apology or anything to make up the fact that I was 25 minutes late to where I needed to be. I was told he knew where it was and he has picked me up multiple times before hand and when I rang up the second time and the receptionist contacted him he said he was driving up the driving up the road as he did not know where it was which is contradicting what I had already been told. Next time I will be taking spot on cabs. This is not the first time they have been late to picking me up either! I am appalled and will not use star cars again!
