Taxis in St. Austell, Cornwall

I always use L&R Cars as they have been the only firm that know where i want to get to in Zennor, i get the last train in which arrives at St Erth after midnight, they are always there when i arrive as they track the train via the net, and they always offer reasonable rates. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Given Carl's number (my car had broken down). Clean, lovely car, good banter, dropped off safely, brought me and loved ones together in style! Carls made our day. Definitely use this firm.

Carls Taxis provided an exellent service when I attended a gig at the Eden Project.

Failed to pick me up after a gig at the Eden Project. I booked well in advance and they said i wasn't at the pick up point on time. I was. Would not use again.

We've used Star Cars several times in the past and had no complaints - we usually travel from Charlestown to St Blazey, a distance of 3.5 miles, and it cost less than a tenner each time. Last weekend we booked a car to take us to Colwith Farm distillery and pick us up a few hours later, a distance of less than 3 miles. When we got there we were charged £16 - we assumed that this was for the return journey also, otherwise we would have cancelled the return and booked with someone else. Unfortunately we were charged another £16 to get home. My husband rang the office when we got home and was told it should have been around £12 but to call back after the weekend. On doing so we were told it was a fixed price of £16, which is definitely a fob-off, unless what they are really telling us that their minimum fare is now £16. Terrible untrustworthy firm. Left a party of 6 stranded miles from home, even after they confirmed we had a booking earlier in the evening. 3 of the party in their 70's one with mobility issues which they were aware of. After waiting 30 minutes got through to a rude operator who did not even apologise. We had to be rescued by another taxi firm. Avoid this firm.

Car was 17 minutes late to picking me up I had no apology for the inconvenience. When I rang up after 5 minutes of being late I was told he'd be there any moment. I rang up a second time 15 minutes late and told the reception worker who up until this point had been very helpful that I was going to leave a complaint about this inconvenience and she then proceeded to be very off tone with me. When I arrived at my destination I was no offered any discount apology or anything to make up the fact that I was 25 minutes late to where I needed to be. I was told he knew where it was and he has picked me up multiple times before hand and when I rang up the second time and the receptionist contacted him he said he was driving up the driving up the road as he did not know where it was which is contradicting what I had already been told. Next time I will be taking spot on cabs. This is not the first time they have been late to picking me up either! I am appalled and will not use star cars again!

After many attempts to book a taxi from train station for an onward journey the next day I spoke to a really helpful man who was able to sort out what I needed for an early pick up the next morning. My driver was friendly, polite and helpful, getting me to my destination on time. Next time Im in St Austell, I will definitely use this firm again.

Just used this taxi and he was very friendly and polite. The journey was from St Austell railway station to Bugle. He waited at my destination for me and took me back again. Great service and I would use him again. Wendy.

I honestly thought I was on a TV show. The driver I had refused to wear a mask. Was really rude and moaned our hole journey about the fact it was only a £5 job and that we should have walked! I didn't get his name but he was over weight and a Tash. And drove a white car. Avoid this company at all costs if this is the kind of drivers they employ. Gill and Dominic

Paul at Kernow Kabs was the kindest and most helpful taxi driver Ive ever encountered in my travels to many parts of the world. He treated my wife and me as if we were family making sure we got to and from the train station, drove us to the Eaton Project, and took care of our luggage. Many thanks from two Americans visiting Cornwall for the first time.

He was most inappropriate!! The driver kept making inappropriate remarks to Mr 15-year-old daughter. I will avoid it in the future.

I tried asking him to wait for my son (less than a minute) and he wouldn't, so was a case of leaving without him or call another taxi service so that's what we did.

The taxi was late and then didn't wait a minute for us to come out.

A horrible driver, from the moment he picked us up to the moment he dropped us off. My kids were in the car and the language was ridiculous. He even bumped up how much he was going to charge us halfway through the journey without saying a word, is that even legal?

A bunch of cowboys! Drivers are rude and dressed like tramps, didnt appreciate foul mouths in front of my partner. Will never use again
