Taxis in TA13

I call a taxi with 01823241124 at 5.19pm (1st call) on 6 September using my mobile number 07769484655. We want to go to Royal Ashton Hotel from Queens College. The taxi arrived at about 6pm, the driver charged us 14 Pounds which is more than twice the amount of money usually charged for the same journey. We want to feed back our experience. Car arrived quickly, and friendly driver, but very expensive!! Almost double what we've paid a different company, for same trip. Think claim of very competitive rate, should be removed from website.

Agreed to collect us but never turned up. Tried calling when they were 20 minutes late, no reply. So at 22.30, 2 pensioners had to walk back in the dark along a country lane. Very Very poor.

Had to take a chicken to Ilminster vets on short notice. Despite having to wait around for a long time for the appointment, Wood's Taxis were very understanding and supportive. Highly recommended

Had to walk home on the A303 for 1hr 30 following a wedding as they did not turn up and then refused to answer our calls. Im lucky im alive to tell the tale but it would be in this taxi firms hands if anything went wrong. Called FOUR times to confirm, they messed up my booking multiple times. They said they would send me email confirmation and never did, even when i had to call again to chase them. Absolutely awful service and they dont deserve to have a business that fails to deliver what they promised. There is a reason this taxi service has an awful star rating, save your time. If i could put minus stars, i would.

Tried to prebook a big cab, the larger taxi firms couldn't help so Angel Cabs pulled out all the stops to help...very impressed!
