Taxis in Whitby, North Yorkshire

During the taxi ride my partner was wet, cold and tired. I asked the driver if we could put some heating on. Not only did she refuse but also mocked me for asking! The worst taxi ride ever.

Early morning pick-up on time as promised, arrived timely for my appointment. Clean modern car, frankly as good as it gets. Subsequent pick-up for return, again on time, returned to my home and all for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Can't rate this company highly enough. We booked Peter, fairly last minute for a transfer from one end of the Lyke Wake walk to the other. He was there waiting for us as I arrived (15 mins early) in the remote car park at the ungodly hour I'd specified and soon had us at an equally dark car park at the other side of the moors ready to start the walk. This however was only the start of his service...14 hours later we needed rescuing due to injury. Peter was most helpful, managing to pin down my location using my vague knowledge of the area (a village name, a roman road, and the forest and beck nearby!) and was out to get us as soon as he could, towels and water at the ready in case needed. Again, couldn't ask for more from a taxi firm, would definitely recommend, especially for long distance walking transfers, if I attempt the Lyke Wake Walk again solo, I'll be back :)
