My ridge tiles blew off in the recent storm, so I got Mark from thomson local.He was straight talking, which I like, an came round that day to put them back on till he could do perm job. His builders came today did great job, were very polite an left no mess would definetly recomend Mark.

ive used mark on a number of occasions and always found him honest and easy to deal with . a straight forward build .

Very bad experience. Took plans said quote would be ready in 10 days. 2 months later nothing then he popped up. Came a couple of times said don,t worry I will not forget you never seen him since now about 7 months ago.So would NOT recommend this builder

Bal did a brilliant job renovating our semi-detached house and building a side and rear extension. We were really impressed with the way Bal and his team worked on the project. His team was there Monday to Saturday for 15 weeks working really hard to get the job done on time and in budget. Their work was of high quality and they tidied up every day. Bal always listened to what we wanted and offered great advice to help us design of the inside of the house. We were really happy with final result and want to thank Bal and his team for building our dream house. I would highly recommended them.

The Atlantic Builders team did an extension, loft conversion and internal remodelling / refurbishment of our house.Bal gave us good advice and guided us throughout the project. We can honestly say Bal did a fantastic job. From the moment he first met us to discuss the project, Bal showed an genuine interest. His extensive knowledge of the building trade earned our confidence in him to complete the project in time and budget. Bal was in constant contact with us throughout every stage of the building works, making sure that our requirements (and building regs) were met. In fact we included some of Bal's suggestions into the design of the interior. The same guys in Bal's team came every day and worked tirelessly for 15 weeks, six days a week from 7:30 to 5pm. Modernised a 1950 bungalow. Knocked out large brick fireplaces and made good. Refitted a bathroom, Cloakroom and a Kitchen plus utlity. Redecorated.He was on site checking progress and made sure the site was left clean and tidy at the end of each day. Stuck to his quotation. Lots of experience.

Our community hall employed Handford Construction recently to complete a range of storage cupboards. From the outset, the company was professional, the quote was detailed, and communication was good during the works when there were any issues to discuss. We were very pleased with the completed works and the final invoice was as expected with no "hidden extras". Everything left clean and tidy.

Darren has just completed a patio which has transformed a previously unused part of my garden. Daren and his assistant Gerwyn just completed a 2m high, 14.5m long garden party wall construction in double concrete block at my house in Blackwood. Having interviewed several builders, I knew within minutes of him measuring up the site and beginning to discuss our options that whatever his price, Darren would get the job. He is keen, fair and calculated on pricing and accurate in his estimating. He is open minded and willing to think about how best to achieve the optimum result that is what he and Gerwyn achieved. They are an excellent working team and I unhesitatingly recommend D J Hopkins building services. Darren is only interested in executing the best work. My advice is don't mess him around on price, he is completely trustworthy and don't look for the cheapest option, he is not the cheapest but he is the best because he is intelligent and skillful. He enjoys working with architects and I enjoyed working with him. Five stars...a breath of fresh air in the Valleys.

Darren has just completed our home and garden renovation works and we couldnt be happier. From pricing and through every stage of the work we couldnt be happier, his attention to detail and workmanship is second to none, and he genuinely gave us the impression throughout that he cares and treats your home as his own.
