Crown thin - is the thinning of the crown to allow light through the tree, which will also remove weight on larger limbs. Crown clean - is the removal of all dead/dying wood and rubbing branches which will progress into branch or tree failure over time, by doing this it will prolong the life of the tree longer. Crown reduction/pruning - is to reduce the crown by a selected amount of metres, in a correct pruning method, this will leave the tree smaller, letting the light around it and leaving it a good shape.
