AK Vehicle Rental, based in Paisley, was established in 1990 and has been providing affordable car hire, as well as minibus, van and truck rental ever since. We have over 100 different vehicles available to hire, which ensures our place as the number one vehicle hire company in Paisley. We've also gone electric! We now have fully electric vans available for hire from £35 for 2 hours. Some of the vehicles we have available to hire include: * 4x4s * Small Vans * Low Loaders * Dropsides * Tippers * Minibuses * 7.5 Ton Trucks * And Many More! All we need from you when hiring a vehicle is: * You're Between 23 and 75 * Your National Insurance Number * Full UK Photo Licence * 2 Other Forms of ID * Deposit All our vehicles can be hired by the general public as well as for commercial use, with flexible rental periods from 2 hours to 2 years. We aim to have clean, presentable vehicles and to give a Fast, Friendly (sometimes Cheeky) Service. My daughter hired a van from this company. The hand brake was faulty and it rolled on her driveway causing expensive damage to her sons car and minor damage to the bumper on the front of the van. They would not admit liability and charged for the damage to the bumper and threw in some “damage” above the rear wheel for good measure. Thankfully she had paid a £15 excess charge when hiring, or they could have fleeced her for more than the £300 they did. Do not hire a van from this company, unless you are willing to pay for any damage they can make up on return. Reported to Trading Standards.

Absolute con artists. Hire a van from this company at your peril - they will invent damage and charge you, despite photographic evidence in your favour. Despicable company. Never again.

Taking these con people to court. I took pictures of the van when we left it. They then claimed damage on an estimate and charged me. Offered to show them photos but no they are not interested. Reported to traiding standards as well So in summery, they can make any claim for damages and you have no come back even if you have pictures. Its your money so risk it at your own cost.

Shocking service, hired a van 2 weeks in advance to do a big removal to London, ABS WARNING LIGHT was on beeping and beeping we were told its fine just drive it. In the end I found another van elsewhere and was told I would be reimbursed for my trouble. However when I came back they refused to refund me any money. I have been a customer of AK Van Rental for 6 years but never again.

I could not have been happier with the service I received. From the warm welcome to the remarkable service received from the young lady on the front desk. The van we hired was immaculate and I will definitely be using them again and would highly recommend.
