A brief history of Bexley

Bexley is part of the London borough of Bexley and is located around 13 miles south east of Charring Cross and 5 miles west of Dartford. The borough had a population of around 13,000 as of 2013.

The area was originally part of Kent, comprised of Erith, Crayford and Sidcup, before being swept up by the accelerated growth of the capital and officially becoming a part of Greater London as of 1965.
