Had a new boiler fitted by Russ at Gas Safe Edinburgh and I'm delighted with the work carried out and would happily recommend his work to others.

We had a complicated boiler replacement involving replacing gas pipes across a stone floor in a small business so could not afford to run behind scehdule. Other quotes suggested running pipes around the skirting which we didn't want. J&E MacGregor started and finished in less than 4 days with minimum fuss for such a dirty job and concealed the pipes under the floor. Everything was done to estimate, on time and to a high standard. We have already used them again for another job with exactly the same professional results. We highly recommend them and thank Euan for keeping in touch and checking constantly that we were happy with the job.

I found J & E MacGregor to be an extremely good firm of plumbers to work with. Having used the company before I had no hesitation in going back to them when I needed to replace my boiler. I found them to be extremely friendly as well as being very reliable, punctual and clean and tidy. I would certainly have no hesitation in using the company again and would thoroughly recommend them to one and all.

Job fine but overcharged for time and materials. Also perfectly good used parts were removed without our consent.

Job OK but initially overcharged on the time. Also overcharged for materials 6 for a washer!. They also removed unused items supplied by us.

In addition to the above I was promised a text message with future possible appointments which did not arrive

Unprofessional in their approach and communication. I waited from 8 am for a service. Phone calls and excuses. In the end they were going to arrive past the given window of time and I had to go out. Have made other arrangements.

Connected up our new gas fire and left us with a gas leak. Phoned them Sunday tea time, left a message to say there was a leak and they said they would come back the next morning to investigate. Luckily I was able to switch off the gas to the fire at the at the gas tap myself and leave the front door open to get rid of the gas for an hour in winter! CARELESS!
