Awful experience. Office staff completely incompetent.

One of their drivers nearly crashed into me, then threatened me with violence. Don't use these thugs.

Outstanding service, had to book a rare taxi to transport my disabled wife home and their driver was extremely helpful; even hung around until she made it into our house safely.

Charged £3.60 from my friends house less than a 5 minute walk away. Said it was procedure. I really hope LA dont advertise this. I did ring up and the gentlemen said it was a new tab, a new tab??? To a minute around the corner. I'm sure!!! Avoid!!!

these lot is con , the driver overcharged me from RVI to NE1 student flat he charged me £7 when it should be around £3-4 i wouldnt recommend 5* to anyone, if there was 0* for rating i would give that

To the other reviewer, you're saying you jumped in a car without booking one and e overcharged you? Mate, you got in a hackney carriage, you can't blame the company for that. There are loads of hack drivers that also work as private hire but if you don't book with the company, they will charge hack rates. I love 5 star, brilliant firm.

Overcharged by over £5.00 for a journey from Mal Maison to Wickham at 2-15pm today. Driver was waiting outside hotel. Did not switch his metre on and charged me £14 instead of £9.0. I have assumed he is part of this company because he gave me their card for the return leg. It was only when I used another company for the return that I realised what the price should be. He had a tattoo on his forearm with the name and date of birth of a child (2011 I think).

Dean Taxis in my experience do not appear to be particularly up to par when call outs are to places caring for the vulnerable and aged. They do not seem to grasp that customers at such places need a bit more time than usual to get to the taxi for all sorts of reasons. Perhaps a bit of training (if they do such a thing) in dealing with the vulnerable and aged could be of benefit to their business?

Pre booked a taxi tonight at 19:45 for pick up at 20:15 on the app. No taxi by 20:25 so I call them. The lady said I shouldn't have been allowed to book on the app as they were overbooked and running late. But I had booked and had a taxi confirmed. I gave her my confirmation number and she found the booking eventually. She said I can still get you one it will be 10-15 mins are you OK. I told her I had no choice so please send it. 20 mins later we called back as it hadn't arrived. At this point they said they couldn't find the booking at all and didn't have any taxis for another half an hour. Which would be 1.5 hours after we'd made the booking. We ended up starting to walk home and in the end my dad came to pick us up from his sick bed. The booking is still showing as confirmed on the app at 21:50. Appreciate it's xmas and they are busy but they shouldn't accept bookings they can't honour, it's completely unacceptable.

Was outside Asda Metrocentre when I overheard an abusive Dean taxi driver have a go at a promoter of a service - disgusting language and I have to question their safeguarding where kids and older people are concerned if this is the usual attitude of their drivers

I rang for a taxi yesterday at 9.30am enquiring if I could have a taxi to Burnopfield at 10.30am - I was told they werent taking bookings and to ring nearer the time ? I asked how much nearer 5he time did they mean as it was less than an hour already and he told me he couldnt say ! I rang Street Cars instead and they came no problem - I know which company I will be using in future and it wont be Dean Taxis - terrible customer service

Terrible experience over a year starting with being 20 minutes late for an airport pick up booked weeks in advance. The app also doesn't work constantly having bookings cancelled and then called by rude staff suggesting that it's my fault and that I've been called to say this when I haven't. The way they are headed can't see a future no respect for customers. Call staff have no manners which is a shame since drivers are generally lovely. Need overhaul of booking system as it clearly doesn't work and people managing it don't understand simple procedures like a pre booked important event shouldn't rely on a previous pick up finishing on time.

Booked taxi to take children to school at 8.15am did not show up till 8.45am. Not reliable will not use again.

I would like the company if their driver who does the regular picks up and drops off in Rowlands Gill area parked in a way whilst doing this, that didn't block the road for all other road users. Due to this drivers continual inability to do this when it is clearly possible, either from laziness or ignorance. I cannot give this firm a good review.

First time using this firm. Friendly driver Ian, on time and efficient. Lovely start to my day. Will defo be using again.

Travelling to and from Ponteland in evening ( on ladies day at racecourse ). Both drivers were courteous and friendly and turned up on time, despite the return trip being at 11pm.

Turned up on time friendly enough driver.
