Taxis in SS5

Top company, have used a couple of times and never had a issue and always on time which makes a change from other companies used!

What an awful experience. Smoky, uncomfortable taxis but the worst points were 1. They didn't turn up when booked in advance- we called and they came late but we were then late for our appointment 2. They charged us nearly double the price quoted on the phone and were completely lacking in concern when we dared to argue about the price. Never again - there are many other good taxi companies around the area

First time trying to use this company and I won't bother again. I called about 1.5 hours before I needed a pick up from our local station and they asked me to pay in advance which I was happy to do but when we got off the train at our local station the taxi wasn't there. I called and was informed that they had just finished a job but were still 15-20 mins away. The walk home takes about the same time so my husband and i just walked home in the pitch black. Rather infuriatingly, I was told I couldn't have a refund straight away and that I would need to call on the next working day to arrange this. Not happy as I paid in advance in good faith so I feel like I have been ripped off.

They are brilliant, timing, car and service quality are 5 star. Our driver Tony, was very polite and he has comfortable driving skill. Thanks for tonight.

No cab company is perfect, but they are I suppose better than walking. Especially when its raining. Or snowing. Or in a blizzard. Or something like that. Actually, or even when its too hot. They have air-con in most of their motors. Yeah OK, that ain't much use in a blizzard. But it is when its hot. Like it was a couple of weeks back. All sorts of drivers though. Some are stupid, some are OK. I spose much like any other cab company. But, unlike the previous review, I would use them again, but I wont recommend them to anyone, as if I do, they might get too busy and I might not get a cab myself.

Disappointing service, got almost everything wrong, not recommended

i used to use wakering taxis a lot then some one recomended a2b taxis so couteouspolitealways on time and best of such good value for money and friendly

I never had any problems with Andrews taxi until the got together with ac taxi ,I am a wheelchair user and always had a wheelchair accessible cab if not in my big wheel chair I would use my little one and it folds up now is so disgracefully how I get treated ibask if there is a wheelchair cab about ac said no called Andrews and they are in the same office and she said yes jacki I'll sort it out and that was fine, then it began to change I have waited on taxis for up to 3 hours driver got lost was driving around rochford looking to see of some one was looking for a cab I was in my home another time a chap not English came to pick me up with my little chair There was another man in the front driver said this is my cousin he was fed up so he is traveling with me today I asked him to get my chair out of his boot I got on it he said what's wrong i looked at this guy I said I only wanted a cab with a driver not another person in the cab I called the office I am contacting social media

Called for a taxi to collect my family and I from Heathrow to home in westcliff the following day. They wanted me to come to the office to pay in person. I explained that I was abroad so please could I pay online or by bank transfer. They said no! Who in this day and age does not accept card payments over the phone or transfer! They wanted me to get someone to go to their office on my behalf to pay for the fare?! So rude and unhelpful on the phone all I got was its our policy. Thankfully I found a 21st century company who allowed me to book and pay online in around 30 seconds and he was there to collect me on time. Job done. Utterly ridiculous company avoid at all costs!!!

Never bother using this company. Taxi booked over a week in advance for a drop off to Southend airport. Taxi never showed and when contacted, stated they had no booking in their system, despite a confirmation email being sent. There excuse was they had changed their operating system, have they never heard of backing up current system and then if needed, manually re-enter any bookings that had not migrated over to the new system.

Ordered a cab from AC a week before a wedding. Called to check during the week that my booking was still confirmed. Cab was due to arrive at 11.45pm. An hour later we were still waiting in the freezing cold. Couldn't get through on the phone. Someone else's AC cab arrived (they hadn't pre-booked!) and we spoke to the office over the cab radio. The woman was rude and unhelpful and incorrectly stated that we had ordered the cab to wrong place. They never even despatched the cab. Awful service.

Me and my boyfriend ordered a cab a couple weeks back and the driver arrived and saw us kiss and drove off.. meaning he didnt want to take us as we were two males kissing!! Terrible dated attitude- avoid !!

fantastic service & good price very reliable

Despite specifying clearly the pick up ( due to another establishment having a similar name ) the cab went to the wrong place. When contacted the operator responded with “ have you never made a mistake ? “ No hint of an apology in fact I was treated like a nuisance. As our call was from a premises that has a large number of cabs ordered each week they have lost a substantial amount of business. Never again.

Really good taxi service unlike other firms in Southend will definitely use again.

Crap crap , and crap ordered a taxi didn't turn up was told we didn't order for specified time , when we actually did , then they hung up as supposedly we where rude , when in actual fact they where rude to us , terrible service and awful customer service .

Terrible customer experience. Called a taxi at 03:11am. They said a 20 minute wait. Still waiting at 3:50am. Called them again and they said 10 minute wait. Called them again and they still couldnt provide a taxi. I had to walk from near Southend Airport to Thorpe Bay. I got home at 5:15am. DO NOT USE THIS TAXI COMPANY!!!

Absolutely disgraceful company. Use 334455 if you want a decent taxi service as this one will almost always get the eta wrong and if they arrive way earlier than the eta and your not there they will drive off leaving you to have to book another.

Out in Shoeburyness, I didn't expect to encounter such professional cab company. Friendly all around, from operator to driver. Punctual, reliable and pleasant rides. On top of all that, they have an app to make bookings, besides of slightly lagging depending on location, it is accurate, user friendly and straight forward. KUDOS KUDOS KUDOS. It is a blessing to have you guys! Please add in ratings for drivers in your app if possible, I think they deserve to be acknowledged with their great services!

Reliable honest

They are the most reliable cab firm in Southend. They always give honest waiting times and take the time to call if it's going to be longer. Really lovely drivers and the ladies who answer the phone are really helpful.

Friendly helpful office staff and drivers, they always try to be honest with how long your car will be, any major problems they inform you, always feel like part of the company with the way your treated not just a paying customer. Keep up the good work 333444 Taxis

Dont bother to pre-book they dont turn up. 2 phone calls were needed to get a car to arrive 20 minutes late for a fare booked 24 hours in advance and confirmed earlier the same day. Failed to turn up at all for the return journey. They just dont care.

Appalling service. We rang and asked for a taxi, only to be told to wait 35 minutes. An hour and a half later we get a call to say our taxi is there, which it isn't. We then ring back to be told it was cancelled. Rude, non apologetic and bad service. Will never use again or recommend. Awful.

Quick to turn up, affordable fare prices, friendly service! One to call up when you need a taxi!

Take quite a while to arrive and are very expensive even for short distances but if you are in a rush OK.
