Taxis in TA20

Agreed to collect us but never turned up. Tried calling when they were 20 minutes late, no reply. So at 22.30, 2 pensioners had to walk back in the dark along a country lane. Very Very poor.

Had to take a chicken to Ilminster vets on short notice. Despite having to wait around for a long time for the appointment, Wood's Taxis were very understanding and supportive. Highly recommended

Had to walk home on the A303 for 1hr 30 following a wedding as they did not turn up and then refused to answer our calls. Im lucky im alive to tell the tale but it would be in this taxi firms hands if anything went wrong. Called FOUR times to confirm, they messed up my booking multiple times. They said they would send me email confirmation and never did, even when i had to call again to chase them. Absolutely awful service and they dont deserve to have a business that fails to deliver what they promised. There is a reason this taxi service has an awful star rating, save your time. If i could put minus stars, i would.

We called a day in advance and were quoted £6.50 one way and £10 for the return journey. On the day, the driver (Christine) put the meter on and made us pay £11.75 for the outward journey and £16.75 for the return for a four mile journey. When confronted with the quote given over the phone, she claimed this was an estimate and that the fare was ultimately decided by the meter, something she absolutely did not mention over the phone. This company is a duplicitous ripoff and I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.

DID NOT TURN UP! Left stranded on a Saturday night in Axminster for nearly 2 hours. No reply when I tried ringing. This was pre booked the week before.Totally unreliable.
