Taxis in Birstall, Batley, West Yorkshire

Would like to give ZERO. Dropped god knows where in town as the fare was getting ridiculous at £4:10 before we'd set off and I only had £10 to which I told the driver - then recieved a passive aggressive reply when I complained to a person on the phone. Couldn't get a word in, just talked over me and apology given after promoting. As he said, we'll have to agree to disagree but where is the customer care in dropping someone off when they say "I don't know where I am". Appalling.

Always had good experiences with Blueline Cars, and they're my go to taxi service. The staff are really nice and good to talk with. Had a hilarious drive and chat with, driver 4042. Funny guy and great conversationalist. Knows how to make customers feel comfortable and welcome. 10/10

I have traveled with Blueline on several occasions and they have done us proud. My sister is going to be using them for her wedding soon they are the best in the area and always immaculate.

The taxi drivers are always polite and get me to my destination quickly and safely, in clean comfortable cars. I never wait long to be collected. A great service.

Pre booked a taxi again for an appointment, late again, the office tells you hes on his way but then the driver when he finally turns up says hes just been given the job! Rude drivers.... never use them again!

Bad experience - only tried once and then never again. The driver shot off before my young kids' seat-belts were fastened. I had to ask him 3 times to wait until the kids were secure. A smirking, weird driver with rudimentary English - totally unsatisfactory.

Shocking experience with the first driver. He would not open his door and only rolled the window down a couple of inches. He asked me where I was going and said he had not heard of burmantofts, I said head towards st James hospital and I will give you directions. Then he asked for cash up front. I said I would call his office and he drove away. I called the office and they said it was because his poor English and several other excuses. I don't expect drivers to know individual streets but not know areas of leeds is bonkers. The office sent another driver who was very apologetic and got me to work late. 1st drivers fault. The office promised to ring me... still waiting. I would understand not opening the door and asking for cash up front at 11pm not 11am. Won't be using again. Avoid avoid avoid. I hope the 2nd driver finds a better company. Rant over and I feel better

Awful always late

Most unreliable firm I have ever used - drivers don't turn up, will randomly demand payment when not at destination and are generally rude. Often don't know where they are actually going and go the wrong way. Stay well away!

Called up for a taxi last week, to my surprise the driver arrived in just 3 minutes after putting the phone down! You talk about fast service!

My 18 year old daughter phoned them to pick her up on Monday from her friends about 2 am she asked how much it would be and the man said £3.50 so she booked it,when the taxi arrived she got in and asked if it definitely would be £3.50 and the driver said no it will be £6 so my daughter asked why they said £3.50 on the phone the driver locked the door and told her it will be £6 my daughter explained she didn't have £6 and the driver was very aggressive and she had to beg him to open the door and let her out and had to walk home at 2.30 am. When she rang up to complain she was told to stop phoning and they threatened to phone the police.

Douglas taxi customer service is super poor and makes someone vomit. So disgusting and should be banned. Scheduled a trip about 10 minutes earlier. They were not picking up calls as agreed. The guy told me that customers don't know anything including me and I can't be telling him how to talk to his customers after delaying me for extra 30 minutes. He banged the calls. He sent a driver after 10 minutes and expected me to wait for the driver having insulted me. He had the effrontery to call me later that his driver told him that I canceled the trip and started threatening me again on phone. Even added that they wont give me service if I call for any. Imagine such careless talk. The guy is so ridiculous and nasty on phone. He is capable of slapping customers if he had the opportunity to see customers. He is an example of appalling service. I have joined the number of customers that received demeaning service from this end-time taxi company. Their drivers appear to be good though.

Had to get a Cab to work at the BRI. Driver turned up, but on the way i told him that i needed a receipt, he said that he did not have any, but will drop one off at my house later. i told him this TWICE!! Came home from work...........Nothing had been left behind the door. How Stupid are these Dummies. Tried to complain, but was told see manager in the morning. Uttery Useless!! As i work for the NHS, i was hoping for better service from them...Nothing!! AVOID!!!

This is the worst taxi company in the local area. Ignorant Pakistani drivers please stay away from this company.

My own experience with this company has been excellent,they arrive at requested time and I find drivers very pleasant and very helpful with luggage and bag handleing.

Wish I could just give 0 rating. 3rd time I have used tyersal taxis. The operator is rude disrespectful and doesn't listen and says his own thing. You try to sort things out but he wont have none of it! Appalling customer services

Absolute criminals ... drivers who cannot drive let alone understand... I had to give him directiins charged different fare each journey and feel uncomfortable

The first driver back from the PDSA was very courteous. However the second drivers mini bus was dirty on the inside and I ended up having a stand up argument on arriving home as he charged me £7.00 more than the first driver even though both were driving mini buses. I will never use them again

used this company for the past 3 years, great service and never had a problem with them. They are always on time with nice clean cars, friendly drivers and friendly helpful receptionists would highly recommend using them.

Soooo annoyed. Had an argument with one of your staffs, jodie, and whilst I was in the taxi jodie called up our taxi person and he picked up and whilst she was on speaker she was humiliating me to the driver which i could hear and I was so upset I could have cried. Worst experience ever!!!

The ambulance service arranged transport with this company for my partner to take her to hospital after falling ill, her condition got worse after 45 minutes during the wait for transport so we decided to get her there ASAP (we understand the taxis are busy but it was in her best interests to wait no longer) my partner politely called the Taxi branch to let them know she was at the hospital & no longer needed the transport, the lady on the phone who claimed to be the manager wasnt understanding or empathetic instead she became argumentative towards my partner and was calling her a time waster & was disrespectful continuously arguing with her, my partner in the end hung up the phone and was upset which put more stress on her. Unprofessional and disgusting behaviour! This company needs to learn some customer service especially in situations like this where someones health is at hand! Will not use again!!
