    • Horrible service. Ordered a pet friendly taxi the day before travelling. In the morning a normal cab arrived with a confused rude driver who refused to take the dog. He contacted the office and they said that there are no pet friendly cars available at this time. Had to run to get to the vet's on time. Awful, incompetent company, will never use again.

    • Generally good drivers if you can get a cab in the first place, rude operators, jobs not booked when they say they are, and they screen calls. Avoid this company they couldnt care less about customer service.

    • Increadbly rude telephone receptionist!!! Horrendous service waiting for 40 minuets for our taxi not to show and to be told when rang back that we had to wait a further 2p mins. Discusing. To top it off they then screaned our calls. Completly rude!!!

    • I was loudly abused by a driver from this company while my car was parked outside a well known supermarket in crowborough. I had been hoping to take my severely disabled wife inside to do some shopping but decided against it following this person's completely unacceptable behaviour. I would not advise anyone to use this company. Their drivers are far too rude.

    • Follow on with the previous review by Christopher, I would like to say that the stranger who picked you up is not a licenced taxi driver. In fact, I believed his name is Tim and he currently working at Ashdown Cars as a telephone personnel. He told me when he collected me in his personal car (which is NOT a licenced taxi) I have kept quiet up until now. Letter or a phone call to their council I think.

    • I pre-booked a return journey with Ashdown Cars from the Cooper's Arms in Cooper's Lane, Crowborough at 10.20pm on a Saturday evening after a party as I needed to get the last train to London from Crowborough which was at 10.44pm. The Ashdown car never showed and I had to convince a stranger to give me a lift in his taxi to avoid missing my train. From 10.20pm to 10.45 pm I called the Ashdown number 18 times (my phone recorded the number of calls I made) and it was engaged on all 18 occasions. I assume that they had left the phone off the hook and gone home. Very poor service indeed (or indeed, non-existent!) I would advise against using this company unless you like unreliable service!

    • The drivers @ Ashdown Cars are ok, but the owner of the business, I will not give him the time of day. Rude and abusive, there was an incident happened at a local pub car park the other day, I could not believed what I saw, stay away from this horrible human being. I will never use Ashdown, will use Crowborough Cabs, Stuart's Taxi or Miles Private Hire instead.

    • Booked for a Gatwick run from Buxted. They were a no show and wouldn't answer their phone. My Mother used a competitor at considerable expense and still missed her flight. All in all a VERY expensive afternoon. If there was a problem they should have called. I am very disappointed in such a poor service. Very unprofessional.

    • Very happy with the service I received from village taxis, I think all taxis should be as reliable as this one, the driver was very polite and really seems to enjoy his job, I can't recommend him highly enough, don't just take my word for it , try him for your self and I promise you that you will not be disappointed
