Taxis in Crowborough, East Sussex

Got a taxi just now location. Was a straight road down 1 mile and cost £9 started at £5.30. Before midnight how can these charges be charged. Have had your same company charge less for the same journey. Still gave your driver £10 but dont understand the extortionate prices

Got in taxis having already pre paid on app.When the journey finished the metre said 4.40.I said to him ok its 4.40 then got out.When I checked the app he charged me 4.70.They are suppose to be trust worthy. I now feel he has let sussex cars done and will now try another taxis company.

Ordered a taxi. Never turned up. Phone not answered. Finally got though. Could not care less. No explanation. Rude and unhelpful.

No one answers after ringing 3 times sort your staffing out or admit defeat and sellout absolutely rubbish customer service

If I could give 0 stars I would. Possibly the worst service I have ever received. Taxi never showed up, the rudest telephonist ever. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Horrible service. Ordered a pet friendly taxi the day before travelling. In the morning a normal cab arrived with a confused rude driver who refused to take the dog. He contacted the office and they said that there are no pet friendly cars available at this time. Had to run to get to the vet's on time. Awful, incompetent company, will never use again.

Jake cars is an amazing service. I really recommend this.

Jake's Cars are a local taxi service near me and were recommended by my son. I use them on a regular basis as I have some trouble walking. The service they provides brilliant. The lady that answers the phone, Debbie, is very nice and the drivers are smartly dressed, friendly and always turn up on time. I would recommenced them to others for the great service.

Excellent service picking up a friend in Surrey and bringing to Crowborough, plus arranging the return trip.

I was loudly abused by a driver from this company while my car was parked outside a well known supermarket in crowborough. I had been hoping to take my severely disabled wife inside to do some shopping but decided against it following this person's completely unacceptable behaviour. I would not advise anyone to use this company. Their drivers are far too rude.

Shockingly poor performance from Ashdown Cars with the taxi failing to turn up altogether. It is truly amazing that this company is still in business.

Follow on with the previous review by Christopher, I would like to say that the stranger who picked you up is not a licenced taxi driver. In fact, I believed his name is Tim and he currently working at Ashdown Cars as a telephone personnel. He told me when he collected me in his personal car (which is NOT a licenced taxi) I have kept quiet up until now. Letter or a phone call to their council I think.

A very reliable and friendly service that I use to help me travel to rural holiday accommodation in the High Weald. Reliability takes the worry out of travelling to a holiday destination by public transport and the bonus of a friendly driver that knows the area well; unlike Uber.

Having been quoted £19 from Twells to Crowbrough was disgusted to be asked for £25 by driver. Their office didn't bother checking or confirming just told him to charge the amount on the meter that included extras!

I've used Premier cars many times over the last few years, they have never let me down. Their cars that have picked me up have always been nice and also clean interiors. They have always been on time wether its an early morning trip to the airport or one in the middle of the night.

Thank you for the great service, driver was on time, waiting at our hotel lobby as stated with my name on a board for reference. Very pleasant driver with an impeccable Mercedes van, drove us back home in no time. The booking experience is quite easy, the fact you have live chat support makes it even better, not always wanting to make a phone call at 2 in the morning. We received all the required information by email and text prior to travel, great customer support and would definitely use them again without second thoughts. Thanks!
