Taxis in Hutton, Brentwood, Essex

Top company, have used a couple of times and never had a issue and always on time which makes a change from other companies used!

What an awful experience. Smoky, uncomfortable taxis but the worst points were 1. They didn't turn up when booked in advance- we called and they came late but we were then late for our appointment 2. They charged us nearly double the price quoted on the phone and were completely lacking in concern when we dared to argue about the price. Never again - there are many other good taxi companies around the area

First time trying to use this company and I won't bother again. I called about 1.5 hours before I needed a pick up from our local station and they asked me to pay in advance which I was happy to do but when we got off the train at our local station the taxi wasn't there. I called and was informed that they had just finished a job but were still 15-20 mins away. The walk home takes about the same time so my husband and i just walked home in the pitch black. Rather infuriatingly, I was told I couldn't have a refund straight away and that I would need to call on the next working day to arrange this. Not happy as I paid in advance in good faith so I feel like I have been ripped off.

They are brilliant, timing, car and service quality are 5 star. Our driver Tony, was very polite and he has comfortable driving skill. Thanks for tonight.

No cab company is perfect, but they are I suppose better than walking. Especially when its raining. Or snowing. Or in a blizzard. Or something like that. Actually, or even when its too hot. They have air-con in most of their motors. Yeah OK, that ain't much use in a blizzard. But it is when its hot. Like it was a couple of weeks back. All sorts of drivers though. Some are stupid, some are OK. I spose much like any other cab company. But, unlike the previous review, I would use them again, but I wont recommend them to anyone, as if I do, they might get too busy and I might not get a cab myself.

Use them sometimes, they turn up on time or even earlier than expected! Did once lose my phone and they returned it to me, top service and fare prices are not bad either!

I had a terrible experience with this firm. I explained I would like to arrange a taxi upon my return from London to Ingatestone station around midnight, and I was told that the company would be open. My mobile battery had died, so I wasn't able to reserve a car. When I got back to Ingatestone, before midnight, the man in the office told me that there were no more taxis. I live 3 miles away in Margaretting and asked if he might be kind enough to help me by allowing me to call for another firm to meet me, (of course I was happy to offer cash for the use of the phone). He said he wouldn't do so from either the landline or his mobile. I obviously fully appreciate that Ingatestone Station Taxis were under no obligation whatsoever to have helped me that night, though one might hope a little human decency (especially in view of being local/previous business) could have prevailed, preventing me from taking on a 3 mile walk down unlit country lanes in which I twisted my ankle very badly.

Never use this taxi company. The driver Andy was late picking us up from the Harvard Inn. The driver Andy was supposed to pick us up later from Crondon Park but never turned up. Leaving us out in the cold.

we pre-ordered a cab and was given a fixed priced for the journey. on the day re-confirmed and reminded them of the exact address and told them not to mistake with similar one nearby. Cab 15 mins late - at wrong address. Driver then tells us will have to go on meter not set price. Eventually got hold of the office who agreed set fee but driver not happy & moaned all the way & told us how unfair we were when we paid the agreed price. Very unpleasant experience - will not use this unprofessional firm again - I would gladly have paid a bit more if that was what we agreed but on principle stuck to set price agreed. I always tip cabbies - not this time.

Very prompt pickup (he was nearby) - travelled to Raileigh to pick up my car in a nice large wheelchair compatible vehicle. Pleasant driver who was happy to talk on the way. And the fare was reasonable too - will use them again

If I could give zero stars I would My wife and I recently paid 145 pounds to get home from Brentwood to Guildford. The taxi driver had a blowout which he was incompetent at fixing and kept my wife in the car (illegal and dangerous) and asked me to help him. He had the wrong tools which meant we Couldnt change the tire and he made ZERO attempt to give us an alternative ride home via any other cab or service I actually had to call an Uber and pay another 60 pounds to pick us up on the side of the m25 and take us home. AND to add to this disasterous experience when we asked for a refund the office and the driver declined because we were 10 mins late to get in the taxi and we stopped to get a lucozade which we gave him one. Absolutely disgusting and would NEVER use this company again Our driver had a white Toyota Corolla. Do not use this company They are unprofessional and dangerous My wife and I put in danger and never taken home and we paid for the privilege

Rude, rude, rude

Booked a taxi for 0730 to go to the station. 15 mins late - drove past the house twice - no apology - no reduction in fare - in fact fare was increased as we sat in traffic that we would have missed had they been on time. Useless!!!

They are friendly and reliable.
