Taxis in Kirknewton, Midlothian

Very poor performance I thought I was getting into a Taxi with a professional Taxi driver, it wasn't he had a very poor knowledge of route just following a sat nav. Very little knowledge of Edinburgh. Next time I will use a black cab from the airport, I used a black cab on my return journey! It was way quicker and cheaper.

Phoned on the 3/ 10 and communicated with a robot . After a wait spoke to a person who booked me for 4/10 at 845 ..Was going into hospital as day patient ..The taxi was 20 minutes late ..I was advised initially I would be picked up by a BMW and then a Toyota. The driver of the Toyota travelled from Preston pans and said he had been allocated the job at 9pm ..The cost was £25.80 for a very stressful and inadequate service

They helped us to get to the airport after an unexpected accient. The staff treated us very professionally (we were stressed) and we got to the airport on time. 10/10, highly recommended!!

Cancelled on me at 3:30am with no warning, without even texting me. I had to call for them to find out. They told me they were prioritising airport journeys, but I had booked an airport journey via their automated service.

Always late, so.etimes by as much as an hour. Dreadful service.

Was picked up by a driver who had to ask me directions on how to get to my destination not being from east coast and having west coast accent think driver thought I was a tourist his arrogance was out this world when reached destination I had to hand him fare which I did as it was wait and return wen i returned to taxi driver informed me tht tht meter was sitting at £22 gracemount-mayfield and by time I got bk would b in £40s wen I already asked for set fare so as we drove away he demanded my fone till we got to my destination not once we arrived there as this is company rule drivers words to take someones fone until u reach destination he then stopped car n told me Ive already got fare to mayfield get out not knowing tht I suffer from extremely bad seizures tht come on to anxiety and stress I was left on a road with no pavement or walk way I have only just recovered last week for 3 in one week have app with neurologist and am seeking ma lawyer

This review only gets one star because I can't give none. The taxi company took me (an another customer who had independently asked to go to the same hotel) to completely the wrong hotel. Okay, this is a mistake that could be made. But when I rang to ask them to sort it out, I was told they could book me another taxi, but I'd need to pay for it. Unbelievable - never experienced such poor customer service anywhere.

If i could rate 0 i would, we pre-booked a taxi from edinburgh airport and waited two hours for it in the early hours of the morning it was booked on the app and accepted but if you cant pick up dont take the booking, never agaiin!!!!!!

Absolutely dreadful experience with this company. Pre booked a taxi to collect me at midnight from Linlithgow train station. When I got off the train the taxi was nowhere to be seen. I called after ten minutes and was told no taxis were in the area and I would have to wait at least 45 minutes. I explained that I was by myself and didnt feel safe, they didnt care. In the end the taxi didnt show up until 1.15am!!!! Over an hour later than I had prebooked it for. What was the point of pre booking??? I will never use this company again and would never recommend them to anyone.

This taxi company is dreadful, avoid at all costs. Allows you to book a taxi on the automated system but when you actually get to the time and place, theyre nowhere to be seen. Phoned up and they said itd be another 30 minutes at least, EVEN THOUGH WE BOOKED. Said theres no way for them to change the automated system to reject bookings, when there definitely is as another company in Livingston uses the same system and it tells you when theyre fully booked. Woman on the phone was a boot, “theres plenty other taxi companies, why dont you call them” complete disrespect and avoiding the issue. Left us standing at midnight in the pissing rain with my pregnant partner and had to walk 30 mins home in it.

So first time we booked cab was fine then on return we booked a pet friendly cab and taxi arrived and the driver refused to take us because " we had a dog". Waited ages then finally received a pet friendly cab. Driver was great. Today we were awaiting a prebooked cab to take us to the vets. Was getting way past pick up and we called to discover they had no cab for us even though we received the booking text. Didn't even bother to contact us because, I guess customers don't matter being they are the monetary source of their living. So we asked when next would be and were told half hour. Came and went! Already cancelled app twice now and now postponed to monday. Means our week is ruined. Dog needed stitches out then had to wait 3 days to go out properly. Now instead of Monday she has to wait on top of her 2 weeks house arrest to thursday! I am livid! Unprofessional. Get some training to your staff! If you can't make it let us blooming know. Not that well be back! Plenty other taxi firms!

Pre booked taxi two days before never arrived,office said they are fully booked and would take 1 hour and 30 mins to arrive. We were left stranded at cairn farm estate after a wedding. Rubbish. I could say a lot worse.

We were in South Queensferry for a weekend break and had great weekend. We would like to thank Dalmeny Cars for picking us up and dropping us off at Dalmeny Train Station. Great all round service and would recommend.

I had booked a ride TWO days in advance as I had to go to work. It was for Friday, 7:45 am. The vehicle was 32 minutes late. I tried to called them few times to see what was going on and got answers like "we can not guarantee that taxi will come on time", "we have a school run", "it takes time for driver to prepare", "we also have freelance drivers, it is hard to organise them". They also never called or send msg that driver will be late, although they claimed that they tried to call. I was standing like an idiot for 32 minutes when they finally sent a driver. Also, they were very rude over the phone like it was my fault. At the end, I canceled the ride. There is no excuse for such sloppiness as they have TWO days to prepare everything. Before all this mess, I tried to download their app, but without success. I can understand that they maybe had difficulties at that moment and if they just said that they were sorry, everything would be fine. But instead they were really unprofessional.

Never will we use this company booked a taxi first thing in the morning to take us to a night out and pick us up at midnight picked up taken to the night out over the most dangerous roads in Bathgate hills avoiding a head on smash twice by arrived a bag of nerves the the taxi booked to take us home never arrived leaving a disabled woman stuck in the middle of nowhere when we called the number the woman on the other end just couldn't be arsed and that is a compliment. Managed to get another taxi at 4am from a different company. NEVER EVER USE THIS TAXI SERVICE IT WOULD BE MINUS STARS IF IT WAS AVAILABLE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

Great service used the app tracked the car and paid by card no problems.

If the driver that tonight, pulled away from a junction onto a road that had cars parked on one side and oncoming traffic on the other is anything to go by, I would avoid this company at all costs if you value your life

I booked a taxi to go from Broxburn to the Edinburgh Airport (it was a 10 min. drive!!) and the lady on the phone quoted a £12 fare and confirmed that it could be paid by credit card. Not only the rude driver asked £17, but he also made a scene because he wanted to be paid CASH ONLY (and as a matter of fact he refused to accept a card payment). The worst service ever
