    • What an awful experience. Smoky, uncomfortable taxis but the worst points were 1. They didn't turn up when booked in advance- we called and they came late but we were then late for our appointment 2. They charged us nearly double the price quoted on the phone and were completely lacking in concern when we dared to argue about the price. Never again - there are many other good taxi companies around the area

    • First time trying to use this company and I won't bother again. I called about 1.5 hours before I needed a pick up from our local station and they asked me to pay in advance which I was happy to do but when we got off the train at our local station the taxi wasn't there. I called and was informed that they had just finished a job but were still 15-20 mins away. The walk home takes about the same time so my husband and i just walked home in the pitch black. Rather infuriatingly, I was told I couldn't have a refund straight away and that I would need to call on the next working day to arrange this. Not happy as I paid in advance in good faith so I feel like I have been ripped off.

    • No cab company is perfect, but they are I suppose better than walking. Especially when its raining. Or snowing. Or in a blizzard. Or something like that. Actually, or even when its too hot. They have air-con in most of their motors. Yeah OK, that ain't much use in a blizzard. But it is when its hot. Like it was a couple of weeks back. All sorts of drivers though. Some are stupid, some are OK. I spose much like any other cab company. But, unlike the previous review, I would use them again, but I wont recommend them to anyone, as if I do, they might get too busy and I might not get a cab myself.

    • Booked a taxi for 0730 to go to the station. 15 mins late - drove past the house twice - no apology - no reduction in fare - in fact fare was increased as we sat in traffic that we would have missed had they been on time. Useless!!!

    • I had a terrible experience with this firm. I explained I would like to arrange a taxi upon my return from London to Ingatestone station around midnight, and I was told that the company would be open. My mobile battery had died, so I wasn't able to reserve a car. When I got back to Ingatestone, before midnight, the man in the office told me that there were no more taxis. I live 3 miles away in Margaretting and asked if he might be kind enough to help me by allowing me to call for another firm to meet me, (of course I was happy to offer cash for the use of the phone). He said he wouldn't do so from either the landline or his mobile. I obviously fully appreciate that Ingatestone Station Taxis were under no obligation whatsoever to have helped me that night, though one might hope a little human decency (especially in view of being local/previous business) could have prevailed, preventing me from taking on a 3 mile walk down unlit country lanes in which I twisted my ankle very badly.

    • Dont bother to pre-book they dont turn up. 2 phone calls were needed to get a car to arrive 20 minutes late for a fare booked 24 hours in advance and confirmed earlier the same day. Failed to turn up at all for the return journey. They just dont care.

    • Appalling service. We rang and asked for a taxi, only to be told to wait 35 minutes. An hour and a half later we get a call to say our taxi is there, which it isn't. We then ring back to be told it was cancelled. Rude, non apologetic and bad service. Will never use again or recommend. Awful.
