ive used all other taxi firms in harpenden and as i get taxis regular every morning to the station, A1 taxis compared to the others has always been on time with CLEAN CARS....

Picked up cab from station, driver very friendly, offered his services for return journey, which i used, and had no problems at all.

Very poor. Very expensive - £18 on a Sunday for a trip from St Albans to London Colney -used to cost £10 last year. Left my phone in the car and despite tracking it straight away they would have alerted the driver, he charged me £20 to return it. Disgusting service and attitude, they should be ashamed of themselves and dont deserve any business, let alone tips on top of overpriced fares that the driver boasted about getting.

My son got picked up from work paid the cab then realised he left his phone in the cab he try to catch the driver as it went down the road but couldn't so he used my neighbor's phone to call up the company only to be charged $6.60 to drop it back he wasn't that far away what if an elderly person had left there belongings would they be charged for it to this is disgusting we pay enough money to get to where we need to be no help from the taxi company they didn't give a dam so all in all my son paid over $16.00 to come home from work surely this shouldn't happen most taxi drivers wouldn't charge simple needs looking into and stopped wat if my son didn't have the cash to get his phone back would the driver just drive off with it again I feel this was just greed and shouldn't happen I would like an answer to this please.

I called 3 different taxi companies in St Albans for a quote, Gold Line gave the best price (also most friendly sounding). I received an SMS with a tracking link so i could see where the driver was and it also showed the make/model/reg and name of the driver. Best service ever

Was charged £15 even though the meter read £10.50. The driver they charge extra at night but the strange thing is, I use the same company to travel at the same times and have always been charged between £8 - £10 according to the meter.

doublecheck the price with the driver because over the phone is one price and wind you arrive there location probably will be different the driver he should check first, where hes going to not happen this again, very poor communication between the driver and the CallCenter

The drivers are incredibly rude and weird, put on loud terrorist report on the radio (it was very loud.) saying weird stuff like “there are more Asian people in UK than Black peoples.” Cheating somebody out of the money, driving so fast and reckless as if theyre going to commit a murder suicide when you refuse to give personal details about yourself, oh and their not done there oh no, they harassed you on phone in the middle of the night after their jobs is over just to upset you. They had some kind of creepy obsession with me when I was underage. I hope someone calls the police on these creeps and the cops do something about it because these men could be dangerous.

Reliable service

Drivers derseve respect but the call centre does not, one in mind needs to learn some manners, shall not be using them again. Line of work I'm in requires to respect customers and give them the best option of firms from time to time, this firm has lost my custom for good.

Absolutely awful, they sound like boys on the other end of the phone and rip you off. You can tell you are on loud speaker and are made to feel intimidated by them.

Circle is probably the best private hire company in Bedfordshire.
