Rude and disrespectful

We booked a taxi for 4 adults to take us to a restaurant & a return trip. The driver who picked us up was on time, friendly & efficient ( he deserves a very good rating). For the return journey, the company could not come up with a driver and after 50 minutes of waiting & numerous phone calls to them, we fortunately found another means to return home. Alpha cars seem to have a monopoly on all taxi firms in Basingstoke ... sadly they did no fulfill their obligation, so we would not recommend them.

Called a day in advance asking for a 3:15pm sharp service for a school run, even sharing with the operator that if I was not going to be able to make it "my wife would've killed me". Service confirmed and call 30 min before the expected time (2:45pm on the day) to confirm all was booked and ready. 3:15 Nothing!... called and they advise the vehicle was on its way, 3:25 nothing! 3:27 vehicle showed up telling me he was just told about the service. Had to collect my kids at the school reception because of course, I was 10 mins late...

They don't deserve even a one star. I booked a taxi on Friday, wanted it to come on Saturday. I waited 15mins for a taxi, I was in hurry, so I called to Alpha Cars asking where is taxi, the operator said it will be with me soon. Taxi never showed up. I called again and said it's not here so I want to cancel it. They said sorry and sent me a message that the driver couldn't find me which is not true! The taxi never come to pick me up. So disappointed, because of them I was late to my appointment. I will never use them again and won't recommend to anyone.

The company is good depending on what driver you get there is a mini bus driver who resembles Shrek with a Liverpool accent beware he is a greedy bully.

Worst taxi company in Basingstoke order anying thing nere 12pm they say thay can't do it till 1 am rude staff on the phone as well and will lie though there teeth there is only 1 taxi company in Basingstoke delta cars cheaper and want to help you un like greedy alfa cars

Taxi was arranged for 7th May at 0730. Wokingham to Trooper Potts Way Reading Station. Booking was rechecked two days before. Taxi did not turn up. 247 gave no explanation or apology when I phoned. A taxi from another company was asked to collect me. I was over 20 minutes late for a coach trip holiday departure. Luckily I was not left behind. I will never use this company again and will advise others not to do so either. Terrible service.

Totally overcharged. Driver took longest route possible and insisted on a price 4x the cost of getting there by a different company. Even though I have used Prestige for years. Never using them again. They will now lose lots if business due to greed.

Is this company a joke? Taxi drivers obviously swiping money! 'I dont really like to take card payments' Then tried charging £10 for a £7/8 trip!! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! VERY POOR SERVICE!!! ROBBING BASTARDS! Reading the reviews Im not the only one who thinks so!

Awful customer service. Rude office staff, rude taxi driver. Incredibly rude employee swearing and using rude, derogatory language when I complained about the poor service.

They quoted me ?40 for caversham to terminal 4 but end up charging ?45; when checked with the base I receive a response stating that he has incorrectly quoted. This is poor on their part.

First class service, booked at last minute, very professional,prompt and an all round first class service provided, would highly recommend to all.

The driver was considerate, drove in a safe manner and made polite conversation. We have booked another journey already and would highly recommend Your Local Car

Rude woman control operator. Taxi didnt turn up so called, given very poor excuses. In all taxi was 30 minutes late!! Week before same woman was insulting us over the cab radio (she didnt know we could hear every word) as she had confused us with another couple that had apparently been a no show!! Will never use them again now

The woman who answers the phone is such a rude person. Everytime when I called she was extremely rude, never saying hello and goodbye. Instead of greeting she just ask you where you are going? and instead of farewell she will just hangs up. Not once I waited for a taxi for long time, and never arrived because she considered I dont deserve it and she didnt bother to send one. If you answer her questions where you going? with your address without saying please may i have a taxi? she will just become even more ruder and will give you a lesson on manners instead of actually doing her job. Just avoid this company!!
